Thai Spring Rolls w/Hoisin Peanut Sauce?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know how many points the peanut sauce is that comes with Thai Spring Rolls (the non-fried version). The rolls are very low (lettuce, mint leaves and a small amt of shrimp), but the sauce is what makes it soooo yummy. I had them at lunch today and want to calculate correctly. Thanks!

Was this at a restaurant or something you put together at your house? How much sauce do you figure you ate? Commercially prepared for 100 grams (about 3 and 1/2 ounces) is 220 calories for plain Hoisin Sauce. Found the info here: http://www.weightlossforgood.co.uk/nutrition/hoisin_sauce.htm

Or use the info from this site which is drastically different from the first:

http://www.asianfoodgrocer.com/browseproducts/Hoisin-Sauce---20oz.HTML

Maybe you can figure out how much you ate and the points from this recipe for the sauce?

Hoisin-Peanut Sauce:

1/2 cup hoisin sauce

1/4 cup water

1/4 cup rice wine vinegar

2 tablespoons minced onion

1/2 teaspoon sambal oelek (chili condiment)

2 tablespoons diced roasted peanuts
