Subway Veggie Burgers Points?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know how many points for a 6-in veggie patty sandwich at subway? The nutritional info is not listed on their handout nor is it on their website. The people that work at our local Subway's don't know either.

Hi Bonnie -

I found this on Dotti's Weight Loss Zone:

Veggi-Max (390 cal/8 g fat/7 g fiber/56 g carbs) 7.5 (8)

Gardenburger (390 cal/7 g fat/10 g fiber/66 g carbs) 6.5 (8)

It's not about the number on the scale - it's how great I feel about myself.

I forgot all about checking Dotti's. :o I should have known the info would be there. That site is awesome.

Thanks so much for posting this info. The points listed are what I've actually been counting them as so I'm glad I was on target. I just love the veggie burgers-I never order anything else!! :p

Subway has veggie burgers? Are they something new or have they been around awhile? Just curious because I go to Subway all the time in Minnesota and I've never seen them. Just wondering if they are coming this way soon. Would love to try them.

I don't think they have them in Indiana either.

Of course I've never really looked for them.

I'd rather get a 6" turkey breast & ham on wheat for 5.5 points. :)

Of course that's just my opinion. I could be wrong.

Okay.. I had one @ lunch today, they have them at our subway.. I tried to get more specific nutritional information on them.. from like the subway site...

What I found was that they did not have nutritional information about them in the US.. but did for the uk

http://www.subway.co.uk/menu_nutrition_info.asp

According to THAT site.. the "Veggie Patty" (which, incidentally is what it was called in MY local subway restaurant) is the following:

377 Calories, 11 grams of fat, 4 grams of fiber

*BUT* It says "6-inch Sandwiches Valuesinclude wheat bread, meat/poultry, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, green peppers, olives & pickles."

So... *THAT* site did not list out the cheese seperately.. BUT the US site did and the Cheese specs are: 60 calories, 5 grams of fat

SO.. NO Cheese yields: 317 calories, 6 grams of fat, 4 grams of fiber

That would be 6 points if I am correct

I had mine with no cheese, but with light mayo (1 point) today for a total of 7 points.. it was yummy.. the veggie patty is pretty good, has a nice consistancey, and is nice change of pace.

Mel, thank you for posting this information.

I just had one last night for dinner. I always get cheese and no sauce so I guess I'll stick with 8 points.

I think it's very wierd that they don't list this sandwich anywhere. Subway is so good about nutritional info.
