Lean Cuisines Panini's...DELISH!!!

Recommended Posts

Guest NewGrammaToTrace

I love these. FYI~ The points listed on the box for the chicken mushroom and spinach one is incorrect. It list it as 6 points. If you put the NI info in 280/8/4 it is actually 5 points. YAY! A point saved, but would still be worth 6 :headover:

Mmm.. another thing to try. Another thing that I have stocked up on at Kroger this week in the Dinnertime selects lemon garlic shrimp. It is a really nice portion and only 5 points! I think I will go back tonight and stock up some more before the sale ends.

The sale has ended at Krogers; however, I saw them at Walmart today and their "everyday" low price is $2.44 applaudit.gifwhich is pretty good. party01.gif

The regular price at Krogers in VA is $3.69.

I am going to have to stop by the store tonight and buy one. I know this is a little off topic but Lean Cuisine used to make a Chicken Pot Pie for 7 pts. It was so delicious. This was several years ago, has anybody seen them since?

Thanks for the heads-up. I just ran to the store to buy the Chicken and Mushroom variety. I am anxious to try them! And only five points - WOW!

Thanks,

Guest Hailey

I haven't tried these yet because for one thing they are only 6 oz. that sounds small, and I heard the pts were high! I actually make my own panini's with homemade roasted red peppers, and grilled chicken on ww rye bread, they are awsome, and filling!!

Carole~

I live in Jersey(but I am originally from Massachusetts) and my local Stop and Shop( I know that chain is all over MA) just started carrying them. This week they are 50% off !

Hopefully they'll be in your area soon.

The chicken, spinach, mushroom are my favorite!

I bought one a few weeks ago, (the steak and cheese) I believe it was, because my sister was raving about them, but I wasn't that impressed with it. I made it in the microwave and it didn't look grilled like it was suppose to, and then it got hard. Are you all making them in the oven? It said not to put them in the toaster oven, which bites! So just wondering, since mine didn't turn out to be all that!

I put mine in the microwave and it comes out good. I like the crunch like a "real sandwich". My husband doesn't care for them, which is fine for me, because they are expensive.

I'm with Hailey on this one. I had a Southwest Chicken one today for lunch, and it was okay. Just okay. Filling, but I can certainly make a decent sandwich for 5-7 points. I made my own low-fat reuben-like sandwich about a week ago and it was heavenly...

I love these as long as you make it as per the instructions on the box it will come out pretty good. You have to open the box totally and fold it over to make a plateform from the box and place the pannini on the gray area before you stick it in the microwave.

These are wonderful, and I am usually skeptical about frozen meals. Unfortunately, everyone in my area must think they are wonderful, because the 3 grocery stores closest to me (one being a superwalmart) stay sold out.

Christena,

Same here... my SuperWalmart can never keep them in stock. I just happened to run into the manager for the frozen foods section and he said he would be happy to hold some for me when they get their next shipment. They are very popular, and they can't keep them in stock !!!

They are delicious....my favorite is the Spinach, Chicken & Mushroom...and only 5 points!!!.:)

You're funny!!!:exercise:

Relax, I think we're safe with the points ranging being between 5-7 points. I've been eating them on a regular basis, and have still been dropping the pounds.:exercise2

These certainly look great, but I just wish that they weren't so high in sodium.

Hi Amanda,

.......Same here...I also wish they weren't so high in sodium. Unfortunately, the high sodium comes with all frozen foods.:ugh:

Nevertheless, they are DELISH !!!!!:)

I just had my 1st one today (spinach, chick. mushrm) & couldn't find my slide ... so i came here to find out ... & saw this large thread w/ you all bragging on them ! I LOVED IT & was releived it was just 5 pt. - i was thinking ... "this is too good ... it is prob. like 7 pt" !

Not crazy about the high sodium either :-(

but It's a nice sandwich for 5 pt. ! (filling)

I agree - DELISH !!! (wish i had known it was so good - they were 50% off last week !!!!!)

Before realizing that Lean Cusine made these i had tried STOUFFER'S - ("Corner Bistro" - southwest style chick. panini) Also very good , but it was 7 pt i think !
