Just got MasterCook 9.0 - and am excited to get started with it. Before I install it, any special advise (i.e. where to put it, or things to avoid doing)?

Do you like the 9.0?? What is the difference from the earlier versions? I see lots for cheap on Ebay--do you think it is worth buying it there?? Trying to save some money :)

I just ordered it from Amazon.ca for 16.99.

At amazon.com, it's going for 18.99. It's weird...usually in Canada, it's higher priced because of the exchange rate...

I'm guessing that there won't be a Mac version. The original company sold the software - this company doesn't tend to innovate with the titles they purchase. I'm surprised they updated it from 8.0, frankly.

It's a *great* cookbook program, and the fact that it will calculate nutritional information is *wonderful*. To someone who asked - it will tell you calories, fat, fiber, etc - you still need to convert that to points.

I found a place to download a trial version - it only works for 30 minutes, but if you plan the uninterrupted time, it could be enough to get a "feel" for the program.

Ok I'm sold. I went out to Best Buy and picked up a copy this afternoon. I'm really looking forward to installing it and seeing what it can do for me. I have discovered I like to cook so hopefully this will help me find recipes that I can make without breaking the points bank.

Have a nice day
