"Fried" Tortilla Shells

Recommended Posts

I saw this tip in a magazine, but I can't remember which right now. I haven't tried it yet, but sounds great for a taco salad.

Heat oven to 425. Crumple a large sheet of foil to form a 3 inch ball. Place on a baking sheet. Lay a tortilla over ball and spray with cooking spray. Bake 6 to 8 minutes or until golden brown.

Points depend on brand chosen.

Way cool . I know you can drape them over the rack to make it like a fried taco shell too.

I don't use aluminum in my cooking (health concerns) but I have been making the taco shells in the oven (whole grain tortillas draped over the oven racks) for years. It works great!
