Mixed Nuts Exercise Challenge, April9,Week 2

Recommended Posts

We are a group that has been meeting in the chat rooms on a regular basis and decided we needed to pump up our motivation and commitment to exercise. We began a challenge with each other to set a weekly goal of exercise minutes and meet that goal. We call ourselves Mixed Nuts because we range in age from early 20’s to late 60’s and range in weight loss goals from lifetime maintainers to over 150 pounds to lose.

We choose our own goals and we choose the exercise which best suits us. But it must be aerobic or strength exercise, some walk or use a treadmill, stationary bike or outdoor bike, some workout in the gym.

We follow the BCB philosophy for our exercise as well. We are in control; we never deliberately skip our planned exercise; we are committed to check in every day! We support and encourage each other and sometimes give or get a kick in the pants. Above all we have fun!

We welcome any one who wants to join us and make the commitment, it is one week at a time so you can give it a try and see how it works for you. You can change your goal each week as long as you are getting in activity. It can be 10 minutes or 30 whatever you can do, JUST GET OUT/UP AND DO IT!

How does it work? Just post your goal in minutes and each day post whatever your activity was and how much you did. We start each week on Sunday through Saturday.

Come Join Us and Get Fit!

I'll pledge to walk somewhere every day. I'll walk to and from work (3 times in a week), plus I'll walk on scheduled walks as well now that the weather is getting nicer.

315 min. this past week in walking, along with yard work and other work around the house (more than normal)
