amycate 10 Posted May 4, 2006 I made this variation on Strawberry short cake this weekend for my brother's birthday cake and everyone LOVED it.    Angel Food Cake -store bought or (ask about making my own with the diet soda idea)  Large tub or Two FF Cool Whip (1/2 tub of ff cool whip for filling rest for frosting)  6 oz light cream cheese  8 oz can FF sweetened condensed milk  1 cup strawberries    Cut off the top 1/4 of the angle food cake and reserve  Remove a "tunnel" in the bottom half (don’t hit the bottom)  Tear the cake pieces that were removed into 1 inch bits.    Filling: Mix the cake pieces with    ½ tub FF Cool Whip  6 oz light cream cheese  8 0z can FF sweetened condensed milk  1 cup strawberries    Put this mixture into the tunnel and replaced the top, then "ice" the entire cake with the rest of the FF Cool Whip. You may need some extra FF Cool Whip to cover the whole cake.  1/10th of the cake = 5 points Amy  4/25/06 made 10% and WW goal 5/30/06 Lifetime Original SW 154.4 SW after 2nd Baby 181.2 CW 181.2 WWG 137.0 PWG 135.0
rotnkid 0 Posted May 25, 2006 How many pts. in the cake? I've used the SF angel food cake that I get in Wal-Mart. It's only got 2 pts. in 1/5th of the cake. That would bring the pts down I would think. Sounds wonderful. 176.2/125/ww141/mine125<br />Maintaining my goal since 7/27/02 and forever!!!!!!!
Mubies 0 Posted May 29, 2006 This was very good. I made it tonight for dessert after a barbecue. Everyone liked it. It was such a unique idea. People thought I was genius, but then I came clean and told them where I got the recipe. Mary
