just realized i've been doing this all wrong- HELP!

Recommended Posts

The old week one book said either way is OK.

When eating multiple servings, adjust the POINTS value to match the number of servings.

Multiply the nutrition information by the number of servings.

Then calculate the POINTS value with your POINTSfinder slide.

You can also multiply the POINTS value by the number of servings.

I'd suggest picking one way and being consistent. One buddy tracked it both ways and in the end it all evened out.

It said either way was OK for recipes too:

Enjoy your favorite recipes!

Find the POINTS value for the serving size of a recipe using the POINTSfinder slide and the calorie, fiber and fat information given.

No nutrition information? Find the POINTS value for each ingredient, total them, then divide by the number of servings.

I couldn't find any mention of how to calculate multiple servings or recipes in the new book. It seems like they get more vague with each new program release.

Ok, so now I am confused. From what I get from the WW book (by the way, I am in Canada) I can have as much as I want of the foods on the Core list - no questions asked. I have to count points for the extra things that I have (i.e. bread, wine, etc.) Am I wrong???? Am I supposed to be calculating some kind of points for the foods that I eat from the Core List?????

Struggling but determined.

This thread is about calculating points for the Flex plan or for foods not on the CORE list if you're doing core.

I was doing this wrong also. If some was say 200 cals, 8 fib. & 2 fat, I would divide it by 2 then when I figured the points I would double them. But now I know that the fiber's capped at 4. :bcb_huh:
