I need a one-liner...

Recommended Posts

This is not the last piece of chocolate cake on the planet. I've had cake just like it before, and I will have it again another day.

Food is not the medication I need. I'd rather be high on my own confidence and self-respect.

This is a wonderful thread. I love the cute witty lines. The one I use for myself is:

If you forget to brush your teeth one day, are you going to

give it up after that?

This might seem like an odd thing to repeat to oneself several times a day so I'll offer a litttle an explanation. Someone once compared living a healthy lifestyle every day to brushing our teeth every day. We know that brushing our teeth is important, and so we would never think to give it up. We know that eating well and exercising is important, so we should compare it exactly to brushing our teeth. We should never give up. So if one day, you make a few mistakes, just try to do better the next day.

Good one for those returning to WW after regaining all the weight they lost, thinking they didn't need to count points anymore:

CW: You are the KING of the one liners!! (I stole one for my signature, but I gave you credit.:bcb_grin)

I don't get the one about nothing in the refrigerator fixing a fender?

Must be a car thing.

I heard this in a tv show.

whatever you eat in private, shows up in public.

this has really stuck out for me, bc sometimes I am so emotional I eat crappy food in "hiding" and feel like whatever, it's my little secret.

I read an article once about French women and how they stay so skinny. They eat cheese, pastries, baguettes, croissants, chocolate, and drink wine.

but they eat it in SMALL quantities.

I'm going to start thinking 'eat like the french".

bc that's what's important. we assume we are allowed the entire pie, or box of whatever it is we crave. but , no just a taste is enough to get you to know what it tastes like and move on.

I had a friend that used that line when her new car got bumped... as she was standing in front of the 'fridge she said...There is nothing in here that will fix my car

Its more like the line:

"If hunger is not the problem, then food is not the soulution."

That is so true about smaller portions. It is my biggest problem. I grew up with alot of male influences and they were all HUGE eaters...so I always just ate what the guys ate...BIG MISTAKE. I now have about 80 lbs to lose, but I've been diligent to stay OP. I had my weigh in this morning. down 2.5 lbs!!! WOOHOO
