POLL: Do you eat WW Smart Ones frozen meals? Y or N?

Recommended Posts

No, I try not to eat processed foods if I can help it. I usually take left-overs or sandwiches. I do try to keep a few frozen meals around just in case. My favorites are the Lean Cuisine Panini sandwiches and Boca lasagne.

No, too much sodium and too many chemicals.

I do eat them about once or twice per week. They are really easy to figure points for lunch when I am working at the hospital and I can just grab it and go. I try to drink extra water those days to counteract the sodium.

For me, they are a bit pricey and I am really trying to stay away from processed and frozen foods. Also, I am a sahm so I have a little more time to cook. That said, if I was still working, I would probably still use them on occasion just for their ease.

Hi

I eat one only occcasionally. I pretty much buy them one at a time, just to have one in the freezer. I know they are high sodium, but the reason I don't buy them is because they are usually pricey!

Depends for me. When I am in a WW groove, I try not to eat them, I just eat the foods I make myself. However when I'm struggling with staying on program, I tend to lean on processed foods a lot for the portion control and convenience.

I generally have one for lunch on the weekend if our busy schedule prevents me from making a lunch. They are loaded with sodium, so I do try not to have any during the week. I always buy the WW Smart Ones and the Lean Cuisines only when they are on sale, which is 90% of the time, I just have to look for the sale. I will not buy the WW Smart Ones deserts. I can't stop at just one.

On Friday or Saturday evenings (my alone time), I usually cook up a batch of soup or chili and freeze it in portion containers for my lunches during the week. While my chili/soup is cooking, I make muffins for my breakfast for the week.

Yes, I only buy them when they are on sale and I like to have a couple of them on hand in the freezer in case I don't have anything for lunch. They make a quick and convenient choice for me.

YES! I love them!!

Super easy, and I don't have to worry about counting points.

Plus, they are YUMMO!

I really prefer Lean Cuisine but do buy the Smart Ones when they are on sale.

I maybe have them twice a week.

Yes, maybe once a week or two. Switch between LeanCuisine and SmartOnes, get them when on sale. Usually only eat if not enough time to make something else or don't want to think about it. Like need to take a shortened lunch time at work or work late and have to get to a meeting in a short time that's 1/2 hour away.

Yes I do. It is easier for me because my DH is doing another program and All I have to cook for him every night is 2 veggies.

I eat them once or twice a week. Like others, it depends if I have enough time to make a healthy low point lunch. If not I grab either a Lean Cuisine or Smart Ones.

I do love the missippissi mud pie by smart ones. It is delicious! Good low point dessert.

Yes, I eat them. They are so easy to take to work for lunch and I add a salad or veggies and I am go to go! Also, having 2 teenagers with different schedules some nights I don't have to cook for me and DH so I can just have a Smart One.

I think the ones I have tried are not tasty at all, or I probably would eat them.

Bought several desserts on sale last fall and gave all but one serving to my Alzheimer's mom (my family won't eat WW stuff, they want the real deal.) Would rather have my one bite of Trader Joes' chocolate any day.

Lean Cuisine Pizzas and Paninis are OK, if you can find them. I would rather have leftover whatever from dinner or a small Roast Beef from Arby's if I don't have time to cook myself lunch.

I am glad some people like them, I know working folks have to struggle every day with lunch options all around. Give me beans in a tortilla with salsa any day.

There are only a couple I really like. I eat them occasionally.

I eat frozen meals 1 or 2 times a day whenever life gets crazy. This usually lasts 1 -2 weeks at a time, then I am back to cooking and unprocessed foods. I don't usually buy the WW brand ones just because I don't like them much. The Lean cuisine Spa menu, the President's Choice Blue menu, and Amy's Organics all taste better to me. For all brands I check the sodium content and don't buy any that are over 30% daily sodium value. I also check the ingredients lists and try to stick to ones with all or at least mostly "normal" ingredients.

I like Lean Cuisine, but Healthy Choice seems kinda off to me - bland.
