help with my strawberry frozen yogurt

Recommended Posts

Guest starbrite

hi there,

i am just looking for someone to smooth out the kinks in my recipe.

it is quite basic

take frozen strawberries, put them into a food processor with fat free yogurt and splenda.

to make strawberry frozen yogurt.

now they taste almost exactly like yogen fruz. EXCEPT the texture is horrid.

it is runny, and it is more like a liquid then a frozen yogurt. the frozen yogurt at the stores are whipped, they look like icecream but a bit softer.

how do i get this?

also does anyone know the exact measurements.

i sort of just keep throwing in stuff til i like the taste.

normally i do about 1 cup of strawberrys, with half a cup of yogurt and 3 splenda packets. but this only made like one medium bowl of runny yogurt.

i add a portion (1/3) of a sf/ff pudding mix

thickens it and you do not need any splenda....

i mix diff. fruits and a little milk if I have no yogurt

good luck

Try adding half a frozen banana.

I made a smoothie the other day with frozen strawberries & banana, FF yoghurt & a little FF milk. I had to eat it with a spoon like soft whip ice cream! Yummy!

You might try using a stick blender if you have one. They seem to whip things a lot better.

I also use the WW Vanilla smoothies as my base and add to them. They whip up nicely, especially with a couple of ice cubes.
