Microwave Apples

 

One apple (1 point)

2 teaspoons of cinnamon (0 points)

1 packet of Splenda, Stevia, or Sweet N Low (if desired)

Total: 1 point

 

With a apple slicer, cut up an apple into bite-sized pieces. Sprinkle the apple pieces with cinnamon and sweetener (if desired). Cook in the microwave on high for two to three minutes

This was really good! I made mine the same as the recipe here. DD2 (age 11) made hers with a 1/2 t cinnamon sugar mix (15 cal./t) that I bought at the Christmas Tree store. She has a weight problem, and I'm always looking for low cal, healthy things for her to snack on, so the great thing is...she LOVED it! :bcb_up

I've been eating this for years. I use the cinnamon, splenda, apple pie spice, and vanilla flavoring. I also make mine in the oven. It takes a little longer but the whole house smells like apple pie!:bcb_bigsm And if you add a dollop of FF cool whip, it tastes like apple pie too. Yum!

I added cool whip to mine last night. It melted and really added to the the overall flavor! Delicious!
