Asian Beef Veggie Stir Fry 6.5 pts

You can vary this recipe with any meat and veggies you have available:



Asian Beef Veggie Stirfry


8 oz. lean ground beef 8

1 pkg. Taylor Farms vegetable stir fry 1

2 med. stalks of celery, chopped small

2 tsp sesame oil 2

2 tsp canola oil 2

1 cup chopped onion 1

2 small cans mushrooms pieces,drained

4 tsp. garlic, chopped

1 tbsp. corn starch

1 tbsp. hoisin sauce 1

2 tsp. soy sauce

1 tbsp. oyster sauce

1/4 cup beef or chicken broth

8 oz whole wheat vermicelli 12

1/4 cup rice vinegar

4 scallions, chopped

Place vermicelli in a pan of hot water to soften for at least 30 min. Saute hamburger, breaking up and cooking till cooked through. Drain in colander. Mix the last five ingredients in a bowl and set aside. Microwave veggies in Zip ‘n’ Steam for 3 min. on high. In a very hot wok or non-stick fry pan add 2 tsp. each oil. Add the celery and onions and bag of stir fry veggies and stir fry briefly, careful to keep al dente. Season with half of soy sauce. Add ground beef. Add drained vermicelli and remaining soy sauce . Stir fry to coat noodles well.. Add the rice vinegar. Cook for a couple of minutes. Push ingredients to sides of wok, creating well in center. Add the sauce mixture to the center of the pan and cook until slightly thickened. Cook all of the ingredients together for a couple of minutes. Garnish with scallions.
