Low Point Biscuit

Recommended Posts

I found this recipe at www.debbiescorner.com,it was submitted by Janice, it says it is a 1 point biscuit, but I think it is closer to 2, I'll let you decide biggrin.gif These are large biscuits.

Preheat oven to 425*

2 cups self rising flour= 8 pt.

2/3 cup FF skim milk = about 1.3 pt.

1/4 cup Nonfat plain yogurt= maybe, .5 pt.

Butter flavored Pam Spray

Mix the above ingredients together, except the butter spray, just until blended.Spray a pan with the Pam,spoon drop 8 biscuits onto the pan.Spray each one lightly with the Pam .Bake for 10-12 minutes.

Serves 8

Now I did try to roll them out and cut with a biscuit cutter, since this makes very large drop biscuits, and I like the shape of a "cut" biscuit better, but they seemed to be a little on the chewy side, not a flaky biscuit, but I will bake them often.I cut two in half and popped them in the toaster like you would a bagel, real good this way.

bumping this recipe up. These sound good and I do like biscuits. Might try whole wheat flour with these or use 1/2 white & 1/2 w/w flour.

I can do this with the strength Christ gives me!!
