Truvia Rocks!

Recommended Posts

I found the new calorie-free sweetener Truvia (made from stevia leaves) at my Krogers yesterday, and had some in my coffee and boy was it good! No aftertaste at all--it came in individual packets. Not sure if you can cook with it though.

Can't wait to try in on my Cheerios or strawberries!!!

I'm loving it also! I don't find it to be as sweet as sugar, but I like it much more than the artificial sweetners! A bit pri$ey however.

I just bought a box at Stop and Shop - $3.49 - much less expensive than Splenda but more than Sweet and Low.

Here is their web site - it gives recipes so I imagaine you can cook with it.

I'm in the minority. I tried it and didn't like it. I found it had a nasty aftertaste.

Is Truvia FDA approved? Last I knew, Stevia was not.

I tried Stevia and found it to be much TO sweet, I didn't care for it that much. But I am going to try the Truvia. I bought the Spenda with Fiber?!?! Any thought on that one??

I just quickly googled, and Truvia is FDA approved.

we've got stevia here and DS loves it, I cannot drink tea with it as it has a nasty aftertaste to me. even if I use a tiny tiny bit. We also have a nice stevia plant growing on my porch, too! A fun conversation piece. I hear there are actually 2 stevia sweetners that are new. I'd like to try them, maybe they will offer samples......
