Two years in

Recommended Posts

I was remiss in not posting anything in honor of my two-year anniversary of following the WW plan, which happened last week. Just for kicks, here's a couple of pics of my results thus far.

Me at the start of WW, 295 pounds.

I'm going to have to amend my comments in the past and say that I agree with your friends telling you that they can't see how you've got 30lbs left to lose. Honestly, I don't see it. You look great!! (But I shouldn't say that as I've let the same comments mess with my head. So, keep up the great work! :bcb_bravo )

I'm just curious, did you have any problems with excess skin? I have read on different boards that some people don't have this problem. We were on vacation I did meet a woman that lost well over 100 lbs and she needed surgery to remove it.

sorry to intrude, but this question is such a great one. After many years of being around WW, I, too have seen many who needed surgery to remove excess skin, and many who did not. Although I would have thought, in the beginning, that the younger members would not need it, so that age correlated with how much loose skin there is, I have come to find that's not always the standard. More and more, I think that part of the secret is eating enough protein, and part of the secret seems to be losing it slowly and exercising faithfully while losing the weight. Of course, there are no guarantees, but I have seen that type of behavior seem to make a measurable difference.:bcb_smile
