clothes size

Christy: Each person is different. I'm 4'11" and 10 pounds is almost 2 sizes for me. Of course, it works the other way when I gain.

I also think it depends where you are on the size charts, I know for me (5'7) it is more like 20 pound for one size. At my lowest weight around 255 I wore size 18, at 275 I wear size 20 and I am now wearing only my looser-fitting size 22 clothes at 309.8 pounds. I should be wearing size 24 but I don't own any, and WW meetings are cheaper than new clothes :bcb_LOL:

There you go! Height has a lot to do with it. I was a size 18 when I weighed 170.

I am no expert and honestly I am just recycling information I read on here once before.

It seems to me that the larger the size you are the more of a range to get out of it you have.

example: if you are in the plus sizes it seems to take about a 20 pound range.

Then once you get lower it seems to go to about a 10 pound range...then smaller it seems to even go smaller.

It did work out for me that way.

I felt like it took me forever to get out of my 20 plus sizes

Once I got to about 10-12's it seemed like it was about a 10 pound range.

When I got to 6-8's it seemed like about a 5 pound range...then I blew that out of the water and am playing in the 10-12's again :-)

I don't know, I think it's a wash for some of us, I was a 10 when I weighed like 150, then a 12~14 at 175-180, and hit 16 at 185, so i think i'm backwards :(
