03: 45 minute walk/run. 2 mile bike ride.

04: 45 minutes strength training. 1 mile on treadmill. 2 mile bike ride.

05: 35 minute walk/run (1/2 mile walk - 1 mile run - 1/2 mile walk).

06: 6 hours of yard work.

07: 50 minutes of strength training.

08: 40 minute walk/run.

09: 35 minute (8 mile) bike ride. 2 more miles of biking to work/home for lunch/back to work/home.

10: 35 minute walk/run.

11: 2 mile bike ride

12: 2 mile run/2 mile walk.

June 8: Walk in Taiwan!

Sorry I haven't posted here in awhile - but here I am checking in.

 

My exercise for June:

 

01: 35 minute walk/run. 2 mile bike ride.

02: 40 minute walk.

03: 45 minute walk/run. 2 mile bike ride.

14: 1 mile walk to work and home. (changed from bike because of the rain!)

15: 1 mile walk on treadmill.

17: 5 min warm up walk - 2 min run/2 min walk (5 cycles) - 5 min cool down walk.

18: 2 mile walk. 2 mile bike to work and home.

19: 5 min warm up walk - 2 min run/2 min walk (5 cycles) - 5 min cool down walk. 1 hour (12 mile) bike ride. Several hours swimming and floating in lake. Mow lawn (?).

Hey gang, I'm back. I dropped out of WW last August after getting laid off. Spent 8 mos unemployed and strayed off the regimen as well. I got my butt back into WW this week. Luckily I only gained back 8 lbs. So I'm still 30 lbs down from the start in 2007.

 

My running is going OK, not good but not terrible either. I injured my ankle in a cross country race back in April and spent the last 3 mos fighting through the pain. I can run pretty much pain free now, but the longest has been 5 miles last week. I have run a couple races Those didn't go too badly. A 5K last Sunday in just under 31 minutes. The weather was horrible but you take what you get. I ran that one last year in 28-something. Ran a mile last Tuesday night at the track in 8:51. Last year at this time I ran 8 minutes flat.

 

Back in the winter I was going hog wild with push-ups, upwards of 1,000 a week. The biggest single session was 420 - a few to warm up then 8 sets of 50 with about 5 minutes between each set. I haven't been doing much of that since the ankle thing either, but that's less important to me than getting the running legs back.

 

So I've got some work to do. Back to a reasonble diet, back to running some decent mileage, back to a bit a strength work.

So good to "see" you again Jack. I have really missed our exercise thread. I just recently came back as well. Not running much right now - too hot, too heavy, but hope to get back to it very soon.
