SiFi weekly~ Oct0ber 5th - October10th

Recommended Posts

Hey buddies!

Where is everyone? It's Tuesday & there's no weekly thread!

We had a fab w/e away, the hotel was great, our car was just as expected, and I did LOTS of shopping!

I am thoroughly enjoying the new car, it was great driving around in it with the New Hampshire scenery all weekend. The colours were gorgeous. I now have to get the 2 required inspections, rgeister it here, and return my leased Jeep. I will be sad to see her go, she's been good for the last 4 yrs.

I am just making a fish pie for dinner, and trying to decide what we can eat tomorrow. Need to grocery shop!

Hope to see some folks checking in!

Becky

Hi Becky, sure is getting even SLOWER here! Glad you had a great weekend and are enjoying your new car!

We were visiting DS at Pitt this weekend. Now my week is off to its usual busy start. This next weekend is the fall TnT ride, only about three hours away, but another weekend away (three in a row!). I am QUITE exhausted. I am roasting some veggies now and REALLY need to cook!!!! I hate being out of all my staples! Not much else new to report here!

I must admit I hang out at the WW filling foods board more now as it is more active and the less I am here the less active this is, a circular thing. Not sure it will ever pick up again here!

Hey Buddies, well, hey Lynn!!

Having a busy day today, did grocery shopping & now I'm cooking up a storm! Tomorrow we are having a potluck breakfast in French class, so I am making some SiFi mini quiches. I am also making a big crustless quiche for my lunches, a variation of crockpot apple pudding (with pears baked in the oven) & muffins for the kids & neighbours (they had Odie to stay over the w/e). In the slow cooker I have some latin-style pork for dinner. Now i need to put the groceries away as I came in & started cooking straight away.

It's raining here at the moment, the perfect wetaher to hang out in my kitchen!!

have a good day!

Sounds great to me, Becky! I sorely need to do some cooking but don't know WHEN it will happen!!! Last night I roasted veggies but that was it! Better than nothing I guess. I have two chickens I want to roast. Maybe I can throw them in the oven tonight. I'd also like to head out for a ride. I have SO little time for riding these days!

Hi and welcome Daisyduke! Congrats on the birth of your son! This board has been VERY quiet lately, just letting you know!

Another work day here! The sun has finally come out after days of rain. This weekend is my fall TnT ride--Sea Gull Century out of Salisbury MD. The weather should be great! I'm looking forward to it!

Make it great buds!

Good Sunday Morning to All..........

Sorry to have been AWOL of late. After going on vacation in late September, I brought some company home with me.

Although I did not eat SiFi, I ate sensibly and exercised alot........(at least while I was out of town in the countryside). Once I came home though with my company.........my exercised "tanked" big time !!! I was shocked when I weighed in after 2 weeks to find I was up 5.6 lbs !!! I was suspecting water retention, as I was eating alot of highly processed foods. The good news, after one week being back on SiFi once my company left.......I'm down 7.3 lbs over the past week with today's WI !!!

The good news, I'm officially not "overweight" according to my BMI reading. I'm not going any lower re: my weight, as I'm looking older and older the more I lose. Sooooo, I'm starting my version of Maintenance this week. I'm still going to eat SiFi, but will increase my WPA's by 5 points per week, and see how things "pan out" with each week's WI....until I see some semblance of balance. This has to, and must work this time round ........but I know it require alot of vigilance and instant action when I cross that "line in the sand" number !!!

Becky........Sounds like you had a great time on your vacation to NH. Yes, it has been rather "soggy of late". The sunshine is a pleasant change, and I'm hoping it sticks around a bit. Are you celebrating Thanksgiving this weekend ???

Lynn.........Enjoy your bike ride in MD !!!

Daisyduke.........Welcome !!! Hoping to hear of your future success !!!

Back from my ride. All went well. We had beautiful weather. They opened up a second century route which HUGELY eased congestion on the original loop that TnT did. I didn't really like the ride last year (crowded and rainy) and it turns out it actually is a pretty nice ride in good weather and with less people! Glad to be back!
