Whoa - shocking new points values!!

Recommended Posts

Okay I had to laugh - eTools recalculated my points for the week and I was over 200 in the negative! :bcb_huh: I paged back to find out it was telling me 2 TBSP of cranberry sauce was 200+ points (although a 1/4 cup was only like 6).... Watch those cranberries they'll get ya! :bcb_grin

And did you check out wine - 4 points for a glass. And my shot of vodka has doubled in points. I think I'll dip a banana in it to make it last longer.

Too Funny...

I had Scotch on my Favorites List and instead of the point value it now has a red circle with an exclaimation point in it with Obsolete Food written under it.:bcb_huh:

If you click on the link below the calculator in eTools that says PointsPlus value not what you expected? you get the following message:

Sugar alcohols (ingredients commonly found in sugar-free foods) and regular alcohol are included in our PointsPlus calculations. Because these ingredients are not typically included in food labels, you might notice discrepancies between the PointsPlus values you see on our site for foods with these ingredients, and the values for these foods you get using the online calculator. Use our database for the most accurate values.

I like to drink Mike's LIGHT Hard Lemonade. If I put it into the calculator I get 1 PointsPlus, which I am sure is not correct since it was 2 POINTS and it appears that all alcohol has gone up under the new plan. So how do I figure out how to count my beverage of choice? Should I just use the database values for light beer since it is a light malt beverage?

I guess I know what my alcoholic beverage of choice will be.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but no dice. :bcb_wink3 You can't use the calculator for alcohol or foods with sugar alcohol. You can find the points in: eTools, Pocket Guide, or Complete Food Companion.

If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. :bcb_grin

This discussion reminds me of a comic routine I saw on YouTube. The woman said, "I went to my first WW meeting and they told me I could have 28 points a day. So I ask about Jim Bean, and they said one shot was 2 points. I said great, that's 14 shots a day, and if I have 14 shots I'll forget to eat!"
