Recommended Posts

Back again. Oscopies were normal. He took biopsies of areas just for seeing what is what. No questionable sightings. Wants me to think about low fodmap diet. I'm researching now. He will test for more in a few weeks. Have to wait two weeks after colonoscopy for a breath test. Check for bad bacteria.

I'm not really hungry since the prep but am eating smart. Visitors Sunday so I have work to do. There's never any rest for me. Problem is I can't tell people no. It's all ok. My DD home from NYC tomorrow wants a reunion Sunday. How can I turn that down.

Resting now after a busy running around morning.

Will weigh in tomorrow. Attend my meeting.

Peg - good news! I never heard of low fodmap diet...but I will also research.

Yesterday's weigh-in showed that I stayed the same. I am happy about that. One Christmas party, 2 breakfasts out with hubby and dinner out twice could have easily showed a gain.

Sorry. Still not feeling great. Working on a dietary solution. Stopping eating crap might help. Have walked all week.

I researched that low fodmap diet and printed out the specifics. When the Christmas hustle and bustle is over I will sit down with the info. Hope you start to feel better soon Peg.

MT I'm finding it very interesting to find out what foods hurt. I'm glad to be doing this.

Weighed in yesterday. Down .6 so I'm pleased. Made some bad choices but made up for it by walking and acting better.

Happy Holidays to us all.

Nice Christmas morning walk. Always fun seeing kids in new bikes and scooters. Food going well. I fell into a big bag of fries yesterday but I WANTED and planned for it. Walking again this afternoon. Why not huh?

Scale looks better. Been vigilant. Three meetings today. Maybe a walk between 1&2. How is everyone?

Doing OK... Making wise choices when I can. Eating small portions when I can't. Looking forward to no more holiday visiting and the start of a new, fresh year.

It's been raining and I'm not feeling great so haven't walked. Am walking soon by hook or by crook. No resolution. Just regular everyday walking.

Anyone with me?

New Year. New habits?

My leader asked us for a goal for 2017. I'm not a fan of weight goals and she didn't qualify her request but she suggested we put it in the calendar on our phones and in July remind ourselves we have six months to get to whatever goal we set. I guess my goal might be to remain at goal or even 5 lbs lower. I doubt that'll happen. I've never seen 164. Last night 167 looked awfully thin in the mirror. But staying at goal should be a great goal. I hit goal again in March so it's almost a year. Holy moly huh?

check in folks.

Checking in Peg. My Wednesday leader is throwing out a challenge for a pound a week. I'm still thinking about that one because it seems a little tough to me....what do you think?

It's very poor form for a leader to ask for a pound a week. Any leader asking for that doesn't know what she's doing. You just keep at it. Instead of a weight goal work towards a behavior goal. Slow down eating, smaller portions. Anything you think will help you be more mindful. I'm surprised she's allowed to do that.

Thanks Peg...I think you are right about the challenge. I have made some small goals for myself. Right now I am working on not trash talking myself...having a more positive attitude towards this journey. Got a new FitBit HR for Christmas. My step goal is 5,000 right now because of my knees. I am also trying to increase my water intake. Next week I would like to try the Simply Filling method for a couple of days.

Weight stable 2 below goal. Safe place to be. Food going well. More restrictions but managing fine. Need more veggies though.

I rejoined this group after a 15 year hiatus. Its hard to believe that so much in my life has changed in 15 years and my struggle with my weight continues.

Looking forward to providing and receiving support on here.
