Not bad for 2 weeks but certainly a call to pull up the socks :). Really, this helps keep me accountable.

Accountability seems to be the key, Cheryl. I have seen so many people lose weight then gain it back even more quickly than they lost it. The studies are conclusive that having some sort of accountability is one of the major factors in long-term success--and recent studies show that online support groups are as successful as in-person groups. There have been MANY days when I have come to the BCB site to "report in" and say that I hadn't managed to get my exercise, when, by the end of my post I was feeling so guilty that I decided to get out for even just a 20-minute bike ride, or a 20-minute dog walk. The thing to remember, too, is that while we usually start out posting for our own benefit, we often don't think about how important our posts are to other people who read them. I always get encouragement from reading about the struggles and victories of other posters--their words feed my determination.

Linda - good for you for checking in and posting. It's never fun to report a gain but hopefully it just motivates you to push forward, push through this little blip in time where things aren't going the way you want them to go. In the grand scheme of things you have got to be so proud of how far you've come from where you've started. I'm proud of you. :bcb_up

Life is good./QUOTE] It feels so good to have good weather here and most of the hard work getting the house ready for kids is done. I can again concentrate on my yard, my house, my exercise and weight loss goals..

Cheryl - you're so close to goal!! Good for you.

Linda, that picture is wonderful. I love the ocean and the beach. You are soooo fortunate to have it so close by. There is something about the sound of the surf that truly puts me at peace. I have to get my ocean fix from my ipod and listen to my "Sounds of the ocean" sound track. Maybe I'll stare at the picture you posted and listen and then I can sort of feel like I'm there! Ha!

WI today. Had my first gain but I am not complaining. I'm honestly floored that it's the first time that it's happened. No worries, I'm OP and exercising and I'm feeling sooooo good physically.

Cheryl - you are doing so great! The last few weeks you've been consistenly going down - good for you. I think your dinner sounds wonderful! There are times when I have to come up with a 3 or 4 point dinner and they always include a lot of veggies and fruit!

Good job on the 1 lb. loss, Cheryl! Sure feels good when the scale finally budges, doesn't it?!

Jen, +0.4 is hardly anything. I'm glad to hear that you're striding ahead and are feeling healthy. That tiny bit will disappear before you know it!

My week has been tough, but I feel confident that I'm now back on track. My WI today was encouraging.

Lets welcome the weekend with an on target Friday to be proud of. I had some yogurt mixed with peaches and 2T cooked bran. Leftovers for lunch, laughing cow cheese on wasa crackers for snack. I think its chicken for dinner.

We went out last last and my scale is up but I think its partly water, I was thirsty when I woke.

Have a good day buddies

Missed my WI last week because I was out of town at a funeral. Will do the final WI on June 22 then join the summer challenge. This is a good way to keep accountable... even if I'm not losing the way I would like. The positive thing is that I am maintaining, so now I am confident that it can be done. I've seen just too many people lose the weight, then pack it back on more quickly than they took it off. I've been on my WW journey now for 18 months.

Starting Challenge Weight (03/22/2011): 154

March 22 - 154 lbs.

March 28 - 153 lbs.

April 4 - 151.9 lbs.

April 11 - 154 lbs.

April 20 - 153.5 lbs.
