Just in case anyone wants a new exercise option! My Exerstriders

I intend to add a picture of me using them, but that's not as easy as it sounds...:bcb_grin :salut

LOL.

I'll keep trying!

I bought walking poles a few years ago, and really like them. I don't use them exactly as you are supposed to (moving a pole with each step) - I usually do it every other step (so I'm still alternating), but even so, they help with stability on hills and make the walk easier on my knees. The only thing I don't like about them is that I can't use them when I'm walking the dog on the leash.

Hi DES2, I don't know if I could do it that way!...On the instruction DVD Tom recommended you have a Sousa march in your head and move to that! :salut:bcb_march You start with a slow march in your head and then start moving faster. Plus, you only worry about one pole for awhile...keeping it on the beat. Your other side (and pole) automatically hit the second beat as you walk. :)

The person I talked with at Exerstrider's (Jan) said she walks her dog, leash attached to her belt or fanny pack. It works for her! :bcb_bigsm

I can't imagine it with my little 11-lb untrained dog, though. I'm sure she would trip me...especially with me having vertigo! LOL.:bcb_wink3
