LegalEagle 0 Posted July 4, 2001 4 skinned,bone-in or bone-out breast halves 1 tsp. salt 2 tsp. paprika 2 tsps. lemon pepper seasoning 1 large onion - sliced 10 cloves garlic(about 1 medium) unpeeled  spray crockpot, lightly, with pam. Mix tog. salt, pepper and paprika. Rub all over meat side of chicken. Place onion in slow cooker. Place chicken breast side up on onion. Place garlic on chicken. Cover and cook on low in slow cooker for about 6 hours.  Note: A long time ago someone told me the secret to not having your chicken dry out in the crock pot was to always put the chicken in frozen/partially frozen. It works for me.  One other thing I do is, even though they say not to, I stir the juices over whatever I am cooking several times during the cooking.  This recipe is from "3 Fat Chicks on a Diet".  My whole family loves it. It has 3 weight watchers points/serving. carolnj 0 Posted July 21, 2001 Hi! I made this for dinner tonight and it came out wonderful. I used minced garlic instead of the unpeeled cloves, but followed the rest just as its written out and it was great!
LegalEagle 0 Posted July 22, 2001 Yes, you just take the outer skin off the whole cloves of garlic and skatter them all over the chicken, after everything is in the pot. Believe me, you can't get either the flavor or the aroma until you make it this way. Minced garlic makes it a different recipe.
