Roasted Chickpeas 1 point per serving

Prep Time: 4 minutes

Cook Time: 50 minutes


2 cups cooked chickpeas, drained and rinsed if canned

1/4 tsp garlic powder

1/8 tsp cayenne



1. Heat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly spray a rimmed baking sheet with olive oil cooking spray.


2. Spread chickpeas on baking sheet and sprinkle with garlic powder and cayenne; toss to coat with spices.


3. Roast beans on bottom rack of oven 45 to 50 minutes, shaking pan about every 15 minutes, until browned and crunchy. Cool before serving.


Number of servings: 4

I really like these it is the only way (so far) that I like chickpeas.

I haven't tried your version fabcat, but they do sound delicious.


Here is my version:


I put a can of drained and rinsed chickpeas in non-stick frying pan lightly sprayed with PAM and fry until just golden brown.


Remove and sprinkle chickpeas with chili powder.


I enjoy these as a snack a couple times a week. smile.gif
