  1. I eat one of these almost every morning for breakfast. I cook them in my toaster oven, so that it gets a little crispy on the outside. I put it on a light wheat bun with a slice of 2% cheese. Yummy
  2. I think the name is Birdseye Perfect Steamers. It's a mixture of veges in a plastic bowl, you micro wave it with the cover on. They are soooo good. I had one last nite with a mixture of green and yellow beans, carrots, and cranberries. It had a nice light seasoned sauce mixed in. I think it was 2pts. per serving / 3 servings per container. But really there was just enough for my husband and myself to split for a side dish. It wasn't overly high in sodium either. I can't wait to try some of the other combos.
  3. It was still cooking when I added the cornstarch, and I continued to cook it. I thought the cornstarch taste would cook out of it, but it didn't work. Oh well, no biggie - I just won't add it next time.
  4. Has any one else had trouble using the corn starch in this receipe? When I made this it tasted great untill I put in the cornstarch. No matter what I did, I could never get the cornstarch taste out of the sauce. I ended up throwing the sauce out and just using the chicken. I even used a little less starch than the receipe called for.
  5. How about stuffing them with pizza style toppings, turkey pepporoni, LF cheese, etc. spray with a little olive oil and bake. Or maybe crabmeat and LF cream cheese, & seasoning.
  6. Has anyone tried any of the Weight Watcher Cereals? I noticed them for the first time this weekend. If so, what did you think of them?
  7. here's a tip for baking foods so that they will come out crispier and not soggy: A pizza stone works great, just put it in the cold oven and heat the stone with the oven to about 400, when it is fully heated put your fries on the stone. They come out much crispier, the stone absorbs moisture. If you don't have a baking stone, use your regular baking pan, but pre-heat it then spray with non stick spray and put your fries on the hot pan. I do this with breaded chicken breasts etc. it really helps them to be crunchy. Good Luck!
  8. I found a vege mix at walmart this weekend that I thought was good enough to share. It is by Birdseye, in the frozen section, and is bagged. It has slices of zucchini, yellow squash, tomatoes, and I think onions(not sure about the onions) it is 20 calories for 3/4 cup and only 5 gr. sodium. I grilled some chicken breasts with italian seasoning, sliced them up and stir fried the veges with a little olive oil and some basil pesto. It was very good, there are lots of things I think you could do with this mixture.
  9. All these lite chips are great! I've eaten lots of them and never had a problem. Enjoy!
  10. I eat the wow or now "light" chips all the time, I love them. I have on occasion eaten allot more than one serving and have had no problems at all. I guess it just depends on the person.
  11. I made this "gravy" last nite to go with some pork chops. I got the receipe from a friend of mine. One can of 98% FF Cream of Mushroom Soup and a small packet of Hidden valley Ranch Dressing mix. I also put in a half can of water( this will depend on how thick you want your gravy) , some black pepper and a little lea and perrins sauce. while heating , whisk together until smooth. the gravy was very good, but I want to let you know that the dressing mix has a ton of sodium in it, so if you are watching your sodium intake this may not be a good one for you.
  12. I liked these because they are not as sickening sweet as most of the other granola type bars I have tried. I still like the homemade baked oatmeal better, but for times that I don't have any around, these will be a good alternative.
  13. They are good, as a matter of fact I am having one for lunch today on a light wheat bun, w/FF mayo. and lettuce & tomato.4 pts. total for the sandwich. I packed some left over birdseye grilled veges and pasta to go with it. I can't wait for lunch and all for only 5 pts. !!!!!!
  14. I tried this last nite,and it was very good! :smile: And at one point per one cup serving, you can't beat it !!
  15. Lunalight, I purchased mine at super walmart in the pasta section, the boxes are mostly black in color. I hope you can find it, it's really good. I don't have the box with me, but if I remember right it is not soy or wheat, it's semolonia pasta with added fiber and proteins. Good Luck finding it.
