  1. I prefer the Jennie-O extra lean turkey bacon not so much b/c it's lower in points, but b/c it's lower in saturated fat. I didn't only go on weight watchers to lose weight, I went on it to learn to eat a healthier, balanced diet. We all know that foods high in saturated fats and hydrogenated oils are unhealthy regardless if their point value is low.
  2. I know this may sound odd to some, but I was surprised when I found out that cough drops DO have points. Just curious to find out if cough syrup does b/c I have a pretty bad cold, but want to use it minimally if it has any point value. Thank you for your response.
  3. I love BLT's, but got tired of having to skimp on the bacon b/c I don't want too much saturated fat in my diet. I found this at my local Dahls grocery store. I prefer to throw it in the microwave since it's faster, but I found a trick. The package says to heat 2 or 3 slices for 1 1/2 minutes on high, but then it comes out limp and chewy. I put it in for 4 minutes and it popped and made all sorts of noise, but once it sets for a couple of minutes it is very crisp and makes a fantastic sandwich. The slices are huge at 20 cal and .05 grams of unsaturated fat. Yippee! I can pile my BLT's high again and get that great bacon flavor.
  4. Not sure if you have them where you're at, but I found mine at Hyvee grocery stores. I would think any of the stores that carry alot of those already prepared meals would have it as well. Hope you can find them...very yummy!
  5. I found these in the quick meals section of my grocery store. I get the cheddar & broccoli b/c it's only 5 pts for one. They are fantastic with a small salad or steamed veggies on the side. They make me feel like I'm eating sinfully. There are two of them in the container. Very easy too......just pop the whole thing in the microwave for 3 minutes and that's it! Not chewy or rubbery at all. Enjoy!
  6. I have been having strawberry smoothies pretty regularly these days. A bit different than the others though. 1 cup frozen unsweetened strawberries 1/2 cup skim milk about a 1/2 cup crystal light(I use strawberry/orange/banana 3 packets nutra sweet Add all of the above except nutra sweet into blender and bring to desired consistancy. you may have to add refrigerated water for more liquid. I prefer using the frozen strawberries so I don't have to add the ice.
  7. Oh, I made this with sf ff butterscotch pudding and ff cool whip and it was fantastic! I had to tweak a bit with more cinnamon and a dash of salt, but wow did this take care of that craving. I'm going to make this just for me for Thanksgiving! They can have their pumpkin pie, I have my mousse! haha
  8. here ya go http://www.davincigourmet.com/page.php?page=729&flashdetect=YES http://www.vitalady.com/products-syrups.htm
  9. Hi all, I've seen the recipe and I'd like to make it today instead of waiting until Thanksgiving. I have to give it the good old taste test first. Just wondering if anyone has had this both ways and which one is best. Not sure if the butterscotch would enhance the flavor or get in the way of the pumpkin. Thanx! Kylie
  10. I just made 3 fat chicks version of Icebox Chocolate Eclair Dessert. It's higher in points b/c they add ff cream cheese and real chocolate to the top. I think I like the sound of this one better though. I've been a sucker for pudding ever since I was a kid! Thanx for this lower point recipe. Kylie
  11. Thank you to whoever it was on here that gave me the idea. I've been craving all those things that we associate with the holidays including apple pie. I did try it with Kashi Go Lean Crunch on the top, but I think it's just as good this way. One apple, I prefer to peel it, cut up into small pieces. sprinkle generously with apple pie spice and cinnamon. cover with wax paper or plastic wrap. cook in microwave on high for about 3 minutes. stir in a couple packets of equal. I added a little salt and butter spray to give it that pie taste. a couple spoonfuls of ff coolwhip and Tada! a 2 pt. apple pie
  12. Oh, God bless you Charski! I even saved this to my favorites so that I can get to it easily. I did see the food recipes at DaVincis website, but was hoping for some WW recipes. Thank you so much! Kylie
  13. Hi buddies, I finally was able to find atleast one bottle of the DaVinci sugar free syrups. I got the hazelnut flavor. Can it be true? 1 tbsp. is 0 calories making it 0 points! I'm so excited to try different flavors and I would imagine that you could use them in lots of desserts. Of course I know they can be used in coffee, milkshakes, and other drinks, but was looking for other suggestions. So, let me know what your favorite is and share your recipes. I'm such a happy camper with my new find! hehehe Kylie
  14. AbelMom...sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but a tub of the FF Cool Whip is actually 8 pts. Either way, this recipe sounds wonderful. Maybe if I make this before Thanksgiving, I'll be able to have a smaller piece of pumpkin pie because I've already satisfied the craving. Thanx for the recipe. Kylie
