  1. Here's a really neat pattern I'm going to start on next. http://www.stitchdiva.com/ProductInfo.aspx?productid=SDS-056 I need to find some yarn for it. We don't have any yarn stores around so will have to order some online. But can't wait to get started!
  2. I'm looking for a recipe from a really old WW cookbook for carrots au gratin. Can't remember which book it was in, but it was a really good recipe and would love to have it again.
  3. My shawl is finished! Now on to some new projects. Welcome Strawberry Jayne, glad to have you among us.
  4. Well, several months have gone by, but I finally(!) got my daughter's scarf done, and the shawl is more than half finished. I'm dying to start some socks. I've never before tried socks, but think it's time to try something new and different. And I have some baby afghans for charity on tap, too. How are you all coming along with your projects?
  5. ~ bump ~ Love this recipe for pumpkin

    "Turtles"

These look delish. I'll have to try some, too.
  7. Sounds like I need to find some good yard sales. I'm envious of your find!
  8. Still haven't finished my shawl or scarf, but hopefully it won't take long. I think next I'll do some "cat covers" as our 2 cats love to sleep on my afghans.
  9. I did invest in the Clover Soft Touch hooks and I really do like them! I can crochet for much longer periods of time without cramping up and having painful hands. Now, if I could just come up with a few extra hours in the day..... I've been really busy with work and that has been consuming most of my time lately. But I do have a few works in progress, a shawl, a plastic bag holder for the kitchen and a cable stitch scarf for my daughter who is presently in the Netherlands. Hopefully, I can finish them up pretty quickly because I have found tons of great patterns I'd love to try. My husband near about has a stroke every time he sees me coming in the house with more yarn.
  10. Bringing this back. A good recipe for pumpkin pie lovers!
  11. I'm looking for some cute gift ideas to make for Christmas. Also for a style hook that is good for people with arthritis. Any ideas?
  12. Has anyone read The Shack? It's been highly recommended to me, but I haven't gotten to it yet.
  13. Thanks, Joanne. That's exactly what I was looking for. For some reason my search didn't find it.
  14. Anyone have the recipe for the WW version of the blizzard. I know it used to be posted here somewhere, but I can't find it anywhere. Thanks to anyone who can help!
  15. Bump! Sounds good, I'll have to try it. I love cucumber salads.
  16. Made this last night. It was really good! Will definitely have it again.
  17. I have rediscovered James Patterson ..... all of his books are great.
  18. Bumping.... because it's one of my favorites and I'm going to make it today.
  19. I think it's rather neat. Just like other art forms, not always pleasing to everyone's eye, but very creative. And we all have different tastes in almost everything anyway. I say go for it!
  20. Sounds like I could even do without the glaze on this one.
  21. I am just learning how to knit. I joined a knitting group at church to make prayer shawls. I'm very slow but coming along.
  22. I got 19.... The only one I missed was the Studebaker. Older than dirt I am!
