Hello you must try Traditional Indian style fish Filed in Main Dishes Serves 6 people Other 65 recipes by tasnim » Goes well with both plain rice and chapatti Ingredients 1/2 kg fish pieces 1tbsp ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp coriander powder 1 tbsp red chilli powder 1 tbsp cumin powder 1 1/2 tbsp poppyseed (khuskhus) ground to paste 3 tbsp coconut milk powder (dissolve in a little water ) salt according to taste 2-3 currypatta leaves 4 greenchillies 2 tomatoes 1 medium onion cilantro for garnishing oil for cooking methi dana few Directions Wash the fish pieces and keep them aside . Heat oil and add methi dana . Now fry chopped onions till golden brown and add ginger garlic paste , coriander powder , red chili powder ,cumin powder ,poppyseed paste , coconut milk , salt , curry patta . Cook till the colour changes . Now add the chopped tomatoes and add a little water , cook again till the water dries up completely and the curry thickens . Now add the fish pieces and do not pour any water till the fish is properly cooked on high heat .If necessary shake the pan but do not use the spoon it will break the fish pieces .   4. my dish Fish cooked in garlic white sauce Filed in Main Dishes Serves 2 people Other 120 recipes by fatma Ingredients * 4 pieces of Fish fillets. * 3 tsps Garlic paste. * Salt. * 4 tbsps white flour * 2 tbsps lemon juice * 1 1/2 tsps pepper powder * 2 tbsps butter * 2 tbsps coriander leaves (chopped) * 1 cup water or half water and half milk * 3 green finely chopped chillies Directions Wash fish and put in a pan, add lemon and little salt, keep on slow heat, to dry the water.(turn once). Keep aside. FOR WHITE SAUCE: 1. Heat butter in a pan, add white flour, and roast for 1 min on slow heat. Add garlic paste, reduce heat and gradually add water, mix well to avoid lumps. Add salt and pepper powder. 2. Cook this (stirring continusly) on medium heat for 5 mins, put fish, mix slowly to avoid breaking. 3. Cook again till sauce just thick, turn fish once, if very thick then add more water, till sauce becomes of right consistency. Add chillies ,mix. 4. Serve hot on a bed of mashed potatoes, garnish with corriander leaves.

  6. Warm Salads with lots of fiber Filed in Salads Serves 4 people Other 86 recipes by Chitra Ahluwalia Pal » This is vegeterian version. You can make your own protein meal with it, if you add scrambled eggs or grilled chicken with it. Ingredients 1 small bag of Broccoli Cole Slaw 2 tbsp. of low sodium of soy sauce 2 tbsp. of Orange juice ½ cup of chopped onion vertically ½ tsp of garlic minced (optional) 2 tsp of red hot sauce. 2 tsp of sesame seeds 1 cup of toasted or roasted peanuts without salt 1 tbsp of olive oil Directions Heat the wok or non stick pan put oil Now add onions let them turn to light brown. Add Garlic to it and then let garlic infused it flavor in pan. Now add all the Cole Slaw and keep on stirring with tongs so that it’s light sautéed / fried all over. When it is thoroughly cooked add soy sauce, orange juice. Stir it till is coated with the juice and soy sauce. Take it out of heat and add red hot sauce. Plate it on the serving plate and garnish with roasted peanuts and some sesame seeds . Enjoy warm salad with a twist, after this you will not only be full but also you will not be guilty of eating any extra calories in regular salads. This Salad is purely full of fiber and high nutritional value as it has very very less fat.
