  1. Yes I'm back and I know the program works - it's not just the program it is other aspects (tracking, exercise, me time etc.). Wishing everyone a good week!!! Gayle
  2. Going back to basics. I know Weight Watchers works, but it is up to me to get back in gear. Taking it one day and one step and a time and I can do it!!!! Gayle
  3. I need to clear my head and get back on track. I need advice from you all as I'm struggling right now. I won't bore you with all the details but here if is in a nut shell. I lost my my mom in July, 2013. When she passed I really did well on WW and lost a lot of weight. I recently lost my dad unexpectedly Oct, 2014. I can't seem to get my head back on track. I know I did it before and I do know that my dad, sister and brother were very proud of me. Any Advice is greatly appreciated. Gayleb
  4. Do what plan is best for you!! It is a personal thing over what plan you follow. Weight Watchers (no matter what plan) is a good way to eat (or a guideline) healthy. Do it because you are worth it and any loss (even .1 or .2) will soon add up. Just my 2 cents worth. Have a good week everyone Gayle
  5. Week 1 - I weighed and measured and journaled everything I ate. -5 Week 2 - I got a little sloppy and didn't weight and measure and journal as often. I did add water to week 2. -0.6 Week 3 - I got back to weighing and measuring and journaling - I had water. Also had a birthday thrown in for good measure. Weigh in is Saturday so I'll see how things are then.

  7. When I was a little girl being taken to the library by my mom every few weeks I would pick out Horton Hears A Who. Now I'm thinking back about comparisons I make about weight lose and think of the littlest Who making himself or herself heard. If I have a small loss it is still a loss and add that to the big picture it all adds up. In in the book, the added voice of the littlest Who made them heard. So so I remember - no matter how small my weekly loss is, it is being heard (noticed) in the big picture. Hope this makes sense to everyone. Have be a good week!! Gayle
  8. True but I never realized how off I was on my measuring. I was not cheating on my food, I was over estimating the quantity.
  9. that weighing and measuring my food is so hard. I realized that I was measuring my dogs food but not mine. I've started weighing and measuring my own food now. I guess if it is good enough for the dog it is good enough for me. That's my 2 cents worth about weighing and measuring. Gayle
  10. I've been MIA for several months now. My mom was diagnosed with cancer in Feb, had surgery in March and passed away in June. I know she is in a better place (no more pain or discomfort) but it has taken me a little time to come to terms with everything. I've not been handling this very well but I gave my head a shake earlier in September and realized I was only hurting myself with not doing the basics on WW. I'm back now and back to basics. Gayle
  11. Yes to meetings!! I find even if you don't say much you get motivated for the next week. Try several different meetings. Every leader has there own style of delivering the meeting topic, so find one that you are comfortable with and one that fits your situation. Just my 2 cents worth!! Gayle
  12. Thanks for the tip. Wish we could get FF half and half in Canada BUT will keep my eyes open. You never know what you might find in the grocery area. Gayle
  13. So I LOVE my Tim Horton's coffee with double cream - that is until last week I looked on the nutritional guide and saw that Double Cream was 140 calories. It equals 4 points so I have switched to double milk which equals 1 point. Although it is only 3 points difference that's 3 points that I can use for something else. BY THE WAY - I have about 3 coffee's a day so the points soon add up. Hope everyone has a great week Gayle
