  1. Hi Farm Girl. Sounds to me like you have taken the first step in your motivation challenge. Maybe, say this matra all day, "I know I CAN, I know I CAN. I am worth it, I CAN do it"
  2. That portion creeper must be on the rampage. I've seen him lurking in my kitchen, also. I have all the measuring items, plus a scale so will see what I can do to chase him away. Thanks for reminding me to do so.

    SiFi

You guessed right. There is a lot of information out on this board--sometimes hard to hear much at WW meetings. Good program!
  4. Thanks so much for sharing. Have copied all of these and will try them out soon. I love crockpot easy cooking!

    Cocoa

Hi Sailorwoman, Made your cocoa last night and I like it and it's so much more economical than buying the sfff mix I've been using. Thanks for sharing!
  6. Loved the recipes. I want to make the polenta cake, but didn't see the directions. Would you please post them?

    "Cravings 911"

Great thread! Thanks so much for sharing!
  8. Thanks for sharing. Am always looking for good soup recipes.
  9. How many servings does this recipe make? Sounds wonderful.
  10. Lynn, Where would I find the recipe for cow bread? I looked on the different threads and it didn't come up.
  11. HI Wentzmom,

Thank you for the advice. My mom was a lifetimer- I can remember going to meetings with her in the 70's. You may be right about too many goals - Ill take some of it one day at a time!

  13. Hi Granola,

I am a 73 year old WW Lifetimer since 2005. You seem to have the right goals in mind. My only problem with your plan is that I think you are trying to commit to too many goals at once. Why not start out with the weekly plan idea and then add another goal each week (like drinking all that water, getting in GHGs, etc.) I know that when I tried to do everything at one time, I tended to get discouraged and overwhelmed. Plan and journalize for a week, drink the suggested amount of water and try to get in at least some of the GHGs, then go from there. Good luck in your journey

  15. My WW material had these portion sizes: A 3-oz portion of meat is about the size of a deck of cards A large bagel is about the size of a DVD A small serving of a side dish like coleslaw is about the size of a computer mouse. A cup of rice is about the size of a tennis ball. A potato is about as long as a light bulb. Another source I found used your hand as a guideline: Your fist = 1 cup Your thumb (tip to base) = 1 oz meat or cheese Your thumb tip (tip to first joint) = 1 Tbsp Your fingertip (tip to first joint) = 1 tsp Your index finger (first to second joint) = 1 inch Your cupped hand = 1 to 2 oz of nuts or pretizels Your palm (minus fingers) = 3 ounces of fish or poultry
