  1. I just make mine in a regular blender. I use Kefir and add frozen fruit, you can add fresh, or protein powder, etc
  2. Good morning Jason, the new site is looking really nice. I do have a question regarding the sort and display of threads. When opening a new thread, I am used to seeing the most recent posts first, in this new forum the sort is reversed and I cannot find a way to change it. Am I missing something? I checked my profile to see if there was a default sort but could not find one. Thanks, Ann
  3. I first joined WW in 1984, back then we had the exchange program, which I like a lot. I recall a plan where you calculated the number of points in the food my inputting the calories, fat and fiber, the more fat the higher the points and you could reduce the point count by 1 if the food had more than 4 grams of fiber. I went back and using Google I found a video explaining the program here are the calculations. Divide the calories by 50 Divide the fat by 12 Divide the fiber by 5.   4. good morning, I believe you need to make 3 posts in these general forums before you can post in the Buddy Groups. Find a group that you feel you fit into and introduce yourself with a post.
  5. great way to start, i have over done so many times and set myself back. Start with small weights and do a few reps of several different exercises. Usually it is recommended to do weights every other day to give your body a chance to repair and recover. good luck
  6. hi Jingles, I would suggest you get a video and start easy. you don't want to over do and hurt yourself. if you can;t find a video look for a beginner workout online, or maybe a gym near you has a free day where you can get some guidance
  7. i havent' seen Alba shakes on the market for about 10 years, I make smoothies with unsweetened almond milk, and add frozen fruit, either one kind only or a mixture.

    There is no one list of foods that everyone can eat and lose, it isn't always what you eat but also how much you eat. The best food plan is one you can live with, that you do not feel deprived, that has foods you like, in the long run that is the one that will get you where you want to be. Healthy foods should be worked into your plan, lots of fresh veggies, fruits, whole grains, meats should be as lean as possible.

  10. there could be a lot of reasons why your weight appears to show a gain. First of all the first several weeks on any lifestyle food change program is the honeymoon phase where you really drop pounds quickly. Now you are into the long haul where you can expect to lose but at a slower rate. The percieved gain could be nothing more than a fluctuation in water, in undigested food, extra water held due to all of the activity, muscle gain due to activity., Just keep on the program but I do recommend you try adding those points, they help you to work the program to keep it interesting and to make it a life long change. if you eat too few points and increase activity your body make slow down your metabolism or hang on to weight thinking it is going into starvation mode increasing slowly, see how it goes, good luck

  13. 1. I weighed myself for accountabiltiy. 2. I journaled all my food for accountability. 3. I took a walk after work even though it was windy and quite chilly.' 4. I took the time to make myself a fabulous low point dinner I ate it slow and enjoyed every bite. as you can see by my list that 'I' came first, you have to do that, put yourself first, take care of yourself first because you can't be at your best to take care of anyone else if you don't
