  1. I'll be checking out Wal-Mart tomorrow...
  2. Hey Gina! Agree with you on this one. I found the crust to be too chewy, almost tough in texture. It's OK if you want to have your "pizza" fix, otherwise LC has many other entrees that are delicious.
  3. OMG, this sounds great!! I haven't seen this anywhere as I do frequent the popcorn aisles. Hope I could find it.
  4. I was just on the Smart Ones website and saw there was a frozen carrot cake that just came out. Only two points. Now after having had the packaged WW carrot cakes which IMHO were pretty BLECH..... I was hesitant to try these. Well, happy to say...they are EXCELLENT. Everybody knows that the best part of carrot cake is the frosting, and I have to say, they do a pretty darn good job with this. The cake itself is also very tasty. It's not just a weak old spice cake. This is a real carrot cake with real carrot chunks, pineapple chunks and raisin chunks. This is far far superior to the over the counter WW carrot cake. It may be a little bit pricey, but to me it's totally worth it to keep me OP. Especially since I am a carrot cake freak!
  5. How does this do in a slow cooker? I'm planning on making for a part this Saturday (June 4th, 2005) so hopefully someone can tell me! Thanks in advance.
  6. Wow, Catrina, I haven't even seen these around here. It sounds like a great idea, though, having it portioned out for you. I will give them a call!
  7. I finally got to buying these, and they're great. I cooked mine in my George Foreman grill, not only was it fast cooking, but it was nice and crispy. Gosh, I felt like I was "cheating", but at three points per filet, I had two of them with a big salad. So good!
  8. OMG, if you haven't tried these run out and get them now! That is, if you could find them, they seem to be always out of stock, especially the peanut butter ones. I'm not a South Beach dieter, and I actually feel a little guilty endorsing a S.B. product, but these South Beach Breakfast Bars are DEEELISH. The flavors: Maple Nut Peanut Butter Cinnamon Raisin Cranberry Almond The peanut butter is my absolute favorite and that seems to be the one that is frequently sold out. They kind of taste like peanut chews. They also have a very real peanut butter taste, if you get that craving, this will do it for you. The stats: Cals 140 Fat 5 Fiber 3 Protein 10 3 points per bar The 10 g of protein will keep you satisfied. Hope you can find 'em at your local grocery! I'm in PA and I've gotten them from Weis.
  9. Mmmmmmm, thanks. I'm gonna get these the next shopping trip!
  10. These are great, I enjoy these with a scrambled egg, some FF cheese, and some ham...a point friendly egg mc muffin!
  11. These are a staple in my freezer. I love pizza, and whenver I get the craving, these fit the bill perfectly. I have tried all the flavors and enjoy them all.
  12. I love the crispy butter cream caramel and then there are pecan turtle type ones. I got mine at Target.
  13. Brandy, They are at my local grocery store, Weis. I'm not sure where you're from, but I'm in Pennsylvania and I know that the TastyKake factory is based in Philadelphia. You know what, though, you can go to their website and order them online. They really are delicious, and they are a lot cheaper and taste better than the WW brand of cakes. In fact, they are far far superior to the WW brand. I hope you can find them, they are well worth the two points, especially if you're a bakery/pastry freak like I am!
  14. I love fresh strawberries, but I often have a difficult time quantifying the points. I know in the WW book, it says that 1.5 cups is one point. But do they mean sliced strawberries or whole? There is a big difference between the two and I wonder how any body else handled this.
  15. Forgive me if this has been posted before, but I just wanted to let you all in on a great product. It's by Tasty Kake, it's called "Sensables". They hav DEE LISH cakes that are about 2 points each. Much better than the WW brand of carrot cake and WW chocolate. Very moist and certainly tasty. The only caveat is that they use sugar alcohols, which is very gas inducing , so make sure you eat them at home where somebody would understand!! Some of the flavors are: (sorry, these are not the exact names) Chocolatey Chocolate Chip Poppy seed cake Yellow cake with chocolate chips (these remind me of twinkies, YUM) Orange cake Definitely a thumbs up.
  16. Yes, yes, absolutely LOVE. I am so happy that the food industry is making alternatives.
  17. Just discovered these last night. Absolutely love them. Baked versions never did it for me. Bought both the doritios and the tostitos. Definitely will be noshing on the tostitos for superbowl sunday. As for the olestra and side effects, I'm one of the lucky ones, doesn't bother me. Anything that keeps me OP and actually tastes good is always a plus in my book. Now when are they going to make Cheetos light?
  18. Sound good, I will have to look for these at my next grocery outing. I love all baked goods, but I've had to stay away from them. Thanks for the tip.
  19. Agree with you on the WW chocolate cake, definitely moist, tasty, and they hit the spot! As for the WW carrot cake, I was disappointed. Carrot cake is my favorite kind of cake. The WW version was very dry, and this wasn't limited to just one box, I gave it another try and it was the same. Dry and disappointing! I'd rather use my flex points for real carrot cake.
  20. Thanks, Frisky, I'll go and check it out.
  21. I apologize in advance if this question has already been asked. Does anyone know of a program that could help me both keep track of points and figure out point values? You can PM me. Thanks, appreciate it.
  22. Wow, Paris, you are melting away! You look fab!
  23. Just adding my two cents, tried Oreo, Chips Ahoy, and Cheese Nips, all are fabulous. Oreo and Chips Ahoy are perfect with a cup of coffee and for satisfying the sweet tooth. I haven't tried the Wheat Thins yet, but I'm sure they're good based on the way the Cheese Nips tasted. What a great idea, hope other companies will catch on and/or that Nabisco will add more products.
