  3. Hi Buddies , This weekend I will be on the hunt for Bulgur. Would you all let me know where you buy yours? I have posted this question on a different thread, but this thread seems to have tons of recipes on Bulgur. So maybe you all would have more variety of stores for me.   4. Hi Patches , I freeze all of my soups, stews, and chili's. I have never tried to freeze beans by themselves. But my chili comes out great after freezing. I put the bag in a pot of hot water to thaw also. Works great every time. Deedle

  6. Hi Buddies! I hope you like this one. Deedle CHICK'N AND BROCCOLI ALFREDO 4 servings 6 pts. per serving 6 oz. whole wheat fettuccine 1 cup or more broccoli flowerets 2 Gardenburger Chik'n grill patties, cut into pieces 1 can 10 3/4 oz. 98% fat free cream of chicken soup 1/2 c. skim milk Sprinkle on each serving 2 tsp. fat free grated parmesan cheese Prepare fettuccine according to directions, drain, add cooked broccoli. In skillet over medium high add chik'n, soup, and milk heat through and pour over warm fettuccine and broccoli mixture. Sprinkle on each serving 2 tsp. fat free grated parmesan cheese. Enjoy!
  7. Hi Buddies! This is what we had for dinner last night. It was fantastic! Deedle SOUTHWESTERN VEGETABLE PIE serves 6 2.5 pt per serving 1 c. whole kernel corn 1 can (15 oz) black beans, rinsed and drained 4 green onions, chopped 2 Tbsp. chili powder 1/4 c. shredded reduced fat mozzerella cheese 3 egg whites 1/2 c skim milk 1/2 c thick and chunky salsa 1/2 c. reduced fat Bisquick Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees. Spray a 9 inch pie pan with non-stick spray. In a bowl combine the corn, beans, onion and chili powder. Pour into a pie pan. Sprinkle cheese on top of mixture. In a bowl lightly whisk eggs, milk, salsa, and baking mix together. Pour over mixture in the pie pan. Bake 35-45 minutes or until knife inserted in comes out clean. Cool. Fat free sour cream and salsa is wonderful on top of this dish. Great served with a low point salad! Yummy!!!
  8. Hi Buddies! Tonight we tried these sausages out with dinner. My family really liked them. I found them very pleasant, a nice change. I cooked them according to package instructions, then I browned them just a little bit in the frying pan (no oil). Next week I think Ill cut them up and put them in my spaghetti sauce! Yummy! Deedle

Deedle Tropical Burger 4 servings Approx. 7 pts. per serving 4 Boca burgers, or even the GardenBurger "chik'n grill" are great 2pts each 4 canned pineapple slices 1 pt each 1/2 sweet onion, sliced into rings 0pts Pineapple or mango chutney(store bought)1Tbsp=1 pt 4 low point buns or rolls, approx 2 pts each (The rolls are great when slightly grilled) Spray grill with non-stick spray. Grill pineapple and onion slices until soft-tender and caramelized. Grill patties. Place each patty on a low point roll or bun and top with pineapple and onion slices. Spoon 1 Tbsp salsa on each burger. Serve with some great 0pt grilled vegies or a nice salad. A nice change of pace. Enjoy!

Deedle Boca Sloppy Joe 2 servings each serving 4pts 1/4 medium onion, finely chopped 0pts 1/4 meduim green bell pepper, finely chopped 0pts 1/2 cup barbecue sauce 2pts 1 Tbsp. sweet pickle relish 0pts 1 pouch (1 cup) frozen BOCA Meatless Ground Burger 2pts 2 low point buns or rolls, approx. 2 pts each Saute onion and bell pepper in pan sprayed with non-stick spray until tender. Add ground burger, barbecue sauce and relish. Heat through. Fill buns with mixture and serve. Makes 2 sandwiches.

Deedle Grilled Pineapple and Pepper Burritos 4 burritos 3 pts. each 4 canned pineapple rings 1 pt. each 1 large zuchhini, sliced long ways 0 pts. 1 red bell pepper, slice into rings 0 pts. 1 green bell pepper, slice into rings 0 pts. 1 yellow bell pepper, slice into rings 0 pts. 1 large onion, slice into rings 0 pts. ground red pepper to taste, you could also use diced jalepeno, Optional 0 pts. fresh herbs, Optional 0 pts. 4 98% fat free whole wheat tortillas 2 pts. each Directions: Spray grill lightly with non-stick spray. Sprinkle the vegies very lightly with salt or herbs, fresh thyme is fantastic on grilled vegies. Or you can sprinkle ground red pepper over the vegies, lightly unless you like it spicy. Grill the vegies until tender and the pineapple until nicely caramilized. Heat the tortillas in the microwave or on the grill. Fill tortillas with a mixture. Enjoy!

    "NO Potato" Salad

    Hi Junglejoy! This is the recipe that I like. Hope it helps. Deedle CREAMY POTATO SALAD 1/2 c = 1 pt. Mix together: 1/4 c FF mayo 1/4 c FF plain yogurt 1 T. prepared mustard 1 packet splenda 1 1/2 t white wine vinegar 1/4 t salt 1/8 t pepper Add: 3 c peeled, cooked, cubed red potatoes (about 1 lb) 2 T chopped green onions pickles chopped
  14. Hi Jungle Joy! Im so glad you liked the recipe. We have this atleast once a week. I make a lot of batches and freeze them in ziplock bags for a very quick last minute dinner.   15. Hi Buddies! I was making a batch of "Yummy Chili" this morning. My son came through the kitchen and said, "Wouldn't that chili be good on a burger?". Well, Yes it would. So this is the recipe that I came up with. We are mostly vegetarian in our house, so burgers mean Boca. The points will vary on the type of buns and cheese you will use, the meal is approximately 8 pts or less. Enjoy! Deedle Boca Chili Cheese Burger approx. 8 pts or less. 1/2 of a low point bun, or 1 slice of bread 1 Boca burger, heated up, or grilled 1 serving hot "Yummy chili", recipe follows 1 slice fat free cheese Place bun on a plate. Put burger on bun, top with cheese, and cover with chili. Yummy!! Yummy Chili 4 servings Less than 3 pts. per serving,(2.6 actually) 1/2 lg. white onion, diced 2 Tbsp. Mexican chili powder, not the hot stuff 2 tsp. cayenne powder 16 oz. can pinto beans, drained 16 oz. can kidney beans, drained 16 oz. can fat free refried beans, I like the Rosarita green chile and lime 14 oz. can 100% fat free chicken broth 6 oz. can tomato paste 14 oz. can diced tomatoes, drained, optional 1 pouch Boca ground burger, optional Saute onion and chili powder in a little bit of the chicken broth until tender and carmelized. Add remaining ingredients, simmer gently for about 20 min.
