  1. In case you love bread pudding but want more at fewer pts...try this: One serving: 2 slices lo-cal wheat or wht. bread crumbled,& 1 tbl. raisins in sprayed casserole dish. Mix 2 egg. whts., 1/2 c. skim milk, dash salt, 1/2 t. vanilla, 4 sw./low...pour over bread and sprinkle cinn. on top. Spray w/ butter flav. spray and bake 350 for about 1/2 hr. or till browned & puffed. Cool overnite for great breakfast or eat slightly warm. TOTAL pts....2 1/2 (can also use chopped apple, chopped dried apricots, frozen blueberries, any fruit you like.
  2. Have just posted this under "product reviews" check it out, you'll enjoy it. P.S. I like it better cut into 2- 1 pt sections while FROZEN....much easier to slice that way and gets "done" quicker.
  3. You can use any fruit, but I like this combo best. Slice thin 1 small apple and layer in sprayed casserole dish with 1bout 12 blueberries. sprinkle w/splenda and cinnamon and microwave 2 min. Top with the following: 1 slice lo-cal wheat bread, 1 tsp. sugar and 1 tsp. chopped walnuts put thru food processor till finely minced. After putting on top of partially cooked fruit, spray with butter and sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake 350 about 10 min till brown & crisp. Cool and serve with one of following:ff cool-whip, ff /sf lemon or vanilla yogurt, or frozen yogurt. ENJOY.
  4. I LOVE crunch so I toast my angel food slices under broiler (CAREFULLY) till golden brown on both sides then let cool standing up. When cool I top with crushed pineapple and cool-whip and really enjoy the crisp nature of this dessert. Try it, whole different experience to moist angelfood cake.
  5. Take an angel food cake in loaf shape and slice in 1/2 " pieces. Freeze.. then, when needed, remove 2 slices and carefully, under broiler, toast till golden on both sides...let cool standing on end to stay crisp. Top with 1/2 c. sliced strawberries or canned unsweetened crushed pineapple.........then 2 tbl. ff cool whip. What a lovely light treat.! P>S> easier to slice cake when it's frozen.
  6. Just to be on the safe side I counted 3 pts. cup.
  7. This soup wowed my family tonite..my invention. In large pot put the following: 1 can Progresso FR. Onion soup, 1 can beef broth, 1 can drained/rinsed white beans, 1 med. caRROT diced, 1 celery stalk w/few leaves diced,& 2 sm. cans chopped mushrooms & 1/2 c. water.Bring to boil and add 1/3 c.barley. Cover and simmer about 1 hr...then stir in 1/2 can red. fat cream of mushroom soup mixed w/1/2 c. water. Let simmer about 10 more min and EAT...YUMMMY.
  8. If you reduce the "some fat" items to NO-FAT, the cherry pie filling to sugarless and the cool-whip to Fat Free, you'll probably bring the pt. tally in half, if that. Sounds like a great recipe, though.
  9. sorry for duplicate...computer site is whacky...not me. Or enjoy reading my post twice.
  10. Found out recently that center-cut pork either chop or filet, is lower in fat than chicken breast....4 oz. = 100 cal. or 3pts. Don't overlook this tasty, tender LEAN pc. of protein in your diet...it's wonderful. Grill it or slice and saute as stir fry, just don't overcook it.
  11. This will come in handy as I just picked about 20 butternuts I grew and SOOOOO glad you removed the "dreaded rosemary" as I call it...hate it too. Will definitely make this soon...thanx.
  12. 2 servings @ 4 pts. ea. 1 cup cooked medium egg-yolk free noodles, butter-sprayed while warm. Also spray casserole dish. Mix seperately: 1/2 c. low-fat cottage cheese, 3 tbl. ff sour cream, 2 tbl. sugar,( or use sweet & Low, about 8 pkgs) 1/2tsp.salt,1/2t. cinnamon, 2 egg whites or 1/2 c. substitute. Mix w/noodles and bake @375 till brown & puffed....about 35 min. Eat either cold, or slightly warm.
  13. Thought I'd add my favorite 0 pt. dressing so people have a choice...3 tbl. balsamic vinegar, 1 c. water, 2 sweet/low, 1 garlic clove crushed, dash salt & pepper, 1 tsp. dijon mustard. I use this as dip for grilled vegs. as well as dressing. Also works as chicken marinade w/ a little olive oil added...HINT:.....try dressing after it sits for a while & see if you want to add anything to make taste more to YOUR liking. ------------------
