  1. Hi Squash, I follow the old Momentum program, because I had the same kind of experience as you did on PointsPlus. If you still have all your old materials, why not go back to what worked before? Good luck!
  2. Hi Erika, welcome back! It's true, the biggest battle is the one in our minds. You sound ready to fight!
  3. Hi Candle3! So glad you have come out of "lurkdom" and begun to post! I bet the ladies in the "Fit and Sexy" group will be delighted to meet you.
  4. Wow, 5 years! Congratulations!!
  5. Wow, these sound amazing. I wonder if they're available in Canada?
  6. Hi DES2, I seem to recall getting a page of corrections with my materials when I first got them, but I don't think it was very extensive, and I heard online about quite a few more errors that I don't believe WW included on their corrections sheet. That being said, I know that a "tweak" of the program is coming in the next few weeks. I bet they will be giving us new materials, and it won't surprise me if they are a little better put together (since they've had a year to look at the big picture...).
  7. Happy birthday, Denise! I hope you have a great day!
  8. Just saw this thread. Thanks for helping us out, Tinka!
  9. Just finished day 2 of week 3. I thought it would be harder today than it was, because I hadn't been on the treadmill for a couple of days since my daughter got the flu. It really wasn't bad at all. Super Bowl - I don't like crowds either, but found the 5K we did last fall was quite manageable with regard to the other participants (several thousand). Once the race started, everyone fanned out and there was plenty of space - especially at the back, where I was!
  10. Just finished Day 1 of Week 3. I did not know I had it in me to run for three minutes straight. Had a look ahead at week five and nearly fell over to see how much I am apparently going to be able to run at one time.
  11. Quinny - yes, I love that about it too! The increments are so small that it doesn't seem overwhelming. Super Bowl - loved your description of the joy and euphoria you felt while running. I think I am starting to understand that just a little.
  12. I finished week 2 yesterday! Going to have a walking day today, and then I plan to give week 3 a try starting on Friday. Yikes. Feeling pretty good! I'm amazed at how hard week 2 seemed on the first day, and how totally do-able it seemed on the last day.
  13. I'm very inspired by reading your posts! I started C25K this week, so am only on Week 1. Our family has signed up for two 5Ks this spring, so I figure I'd better be able to participate!! So far I've done the first two days. The third day will be on Wednesday. Right now I'm feeling kind of daunted by the thing, as I DON'T see myself as a runner. But it sounds as though this is do-able if you stick at it....
  14. I have been trying the new program, and believe I am going to go back to the old after my WI this coming week.
  15. So sorry to hear about your mother, Carol. My thoughts go out to your family.
  16. (((hugs))) CW! Sounds like you have your meeting topic. We could all do with a little brainstorming about what works and what doesn't during this week of all weeks. I think I (potential Glutton Girl) could definitely benefit from hearing your plan for how to put Bingeboy in his place. First up in the attack against GG, I'm buying a veggie tray today along with the baking supplies.
  17. Congratulations, Ann!! I did the same thing in June, trying to ignore my shame and nervousness, and it has turned out to be the best thing I could have done for myself. Everything has changed for the better. Sometimes taking an uncomfortable stand can pay off in ways we can't even imagine at the time. Please let us know how the meeting goes tonight!!
  18. Hi Jendear! Congratulations on your new baby! Sorry to hear you had gestational diabetes in the third trimester, but glad to see you coming back to BCB, ready to get healthy. I look forward to seeing many more posts from you!
  19. Just wanted to say that I'm following this thread with interest. It's great to see so many people recommitting and sharing their thoughts with each other. The enthusiasm is definitely building as we get close to the North America roll-out of the new program. Thanks, CW, for creating a great place for us to bounce ideas off each other.
