  1. How do you figure points for corned beef?
  2. I think I will do what Joanne & CW suggested. I love to work-out, and try to at least 5-6 days a week. I recently wasn't able to work out for the last 4 months, because I had a benign tumor in my right foot (weird I know). I really took for granted the ease of being able to work out, or even walk prior to this. Thank you all for your thoughts and opinions!
  3. OMGosh! I've been using the FIRM for almost three years now, although I don't have the newest Transfirmer (( I'd be interest to know if it's any better/same as the last FIRM pkg)). I would not have been able to reach lifetime without it. What's funny is that before using it, I thought I was in great shape. I did a lot of cardio, and I'm in the Air Force (lots of running, push-ups, sit-ups). The first week I was SO sore, and I could only use 3 pound weights for everything. I now use 10 lb weights for everything except tricepts, and hope to eventually work up to 15 lbs. I have bought several used & new FIRM DVD's on Amazon.com, to supplement the package I bought. Just like Joanne, I am also leaner at a heavier weight. I wear a size 2 skirt, size 4 dress, and size 6 pants (I got some hips).
  4. Darn! Sometimes I eat dinner around 5 p.m., but then don't get to the gym until 7 p.m. Most of the time, I've met my daily 20 pts. by eating dinner. When I work out in the evenings like that, I'm VERY hungry the next morning.
  5. Can anyone refresh my memory, on why you have to use your AP's the same day you accrue them? Why can't you bank them, or even use them the next day? I can't remember what my leader said regarding this. Thanks!
  6. Thank you so much reelriot! I meant 10 grams of protien, not 10mg. Sorry about that! So should my protein portions be 8 oz's (cup) as well?
  7. I have a questions about the serving sizies of 1 thru 5 of the 8 healthy guidlines. If someone could anwser my questions highlighted in orange, I'd be obliged! 1. Eat at least 5 servings of vegetables and fruits each day. (how much is considered a serving?) 2. Choose whole-gran foods, such as brown rice and oats, whenever possible. 3. Include 2 servings of milk products (low-fat or fat free) each day. (how much is considered a serving?) 4. Have some healthy oil (olive, canola, sunflower, or flaxseed) each day. (how much is considered a serving?) 5. Ensure that you are getting enough protein by choosing at least a serving or two of meat, poultry, fish, eggs, dried beans, or soy products each day. Many milk products are also good sources of protein. Is this a 4oz serving, or 10 mg? I heard somewhere that a protien bar should contain at least 10mg of protein for it to be worth while.

    Flax Seed

    On the west coast they have it @ Fred Meyers,Zupans, & Trader Joes. I've even bought it at Winco. I buy "Bob's Red Mill" flax seed.

    Yep it's been working great for me, their are times when I feel pretty hungry from working out so much but I just shove carrots in my mouth or have some other type of veggie that's good for me.

    I suppose I'm doing FP then. I eat all 35 FP on one designated day during the week, usually a Saturday. My target is 20 pts for my weight, so that's exactley what I eat. When I tried doing 100% FP i.e. 20pts a day, eating my usual 5 APS a day, + the 35 FP a week I never lost anything. When I stopped eating my AP's, and kept everything else the same, I began to lose again. Sorry, I may have not been very clear.
