  1. I want to say "WELCOME BACK"!!!! I applaud you for coming back! That right there SCREAMS SUCCESS!!!! I can relate with how you feel. I have struggled with overeating ALL of my life. I have had some real fears as I am approaching goal. I don't want to ever be 233 again!!! But WW alone will not change me. WW is just a tool. I NEED to have my mind renewed in this are regarding food, emotions, stres, and my body. Celebrate recovery is a Christian program that is heping me do this. I encourage you to look it up and see if there are meetings in your area. I am doing the booklets onmy own and I am reading and journaling through book calle, "Life's Healing Choices".
  2. Hey ladies, I really need your food ideas. I have lost 55 pounds since February!!!! Im so excited!!! I've never lost weight this fast before. Here's the deal. I have alot of food isssues!!! Allergies, celiac disease, and food intolerances. I started folloing Core in Feb. and kept a journal on how I felt after I ate. I ate very simple whole foods. I was able to pin point the foods that make me sick and cause joint pain. I was able to reverse metabolic x syndrome, diabetes, PCOS, fibromyalgia is in remission, lower thyroid medicine, and get rid of anxiety!!!! Praise God!!! Oh and I went from 233 to 178!!! The only problem I am having now is burning during urination. I was on an antibiotic for an uti several weeks back. I continued to have burning even though the uti was gone. I'm told that this could be a result of my urine being to acidic from too much protein!!! Now, the truth be told I was probably having too much protein. It kept me full and it was the one food that really did not seem to upset my stomach or cause allergies or cause joint pain. I'm being told to back way down on the animal protein, beans are fine. So here is my problem: I need meal ideas. I really need help filling myself up. Here is a list of foods I can not eat at all: GRAINS: Gluten, wheat, barley, rye, oats, rice, ( I can do quinoa in small amounts but most grains make my joints hurt and cause IBS) Starchy veggies: corn, potatoes (I can have all veggies except for these and the nightshade veg. and green beans) Veggies: I can eat all veggies except: nightshade veggies: potatoes, bell peppers, tomatoes, eggplant, paprika, jalepeno, chipolte peppers, cayene peppers Fruit: all fruit but had to cut back on strawberries bc they can be a problem for people with kidney stones. Protein: all protein except for pork. Pork makes my joints hurt. Dairy: NONE, I'm terribly allergic! Nuts: NONE, I'm terribly allergic! Even coconut bothers me. Seeds: I can have hemp seed and Hemp milk (this is how I get in my calcium). I seem to do okay with seasame seeds but all others make me sick. Legumes / Beans: I can have ALL of them except for soy. I'm highly allergic to soy. Beans have become a staple for me. Sweets, others: Here is the funny thing sugar in small amounts doesn't seem to bother me. I will sometimes have an all fruit frozen bar that has real sugar in it. It doesn't seem to bother me. I have also had some fruit pie filling only and have done well. I will eat sweet potato chips for crunch once in a while. Please help me! I have at least 20-30 more pounds to lose. I want to do this healthy not starve! I appreciate your ideas.
  3. Hi Everyone, I haven't been on here to much lately. Some of you may remember me. I have alot of food allergies/ intolerances. I also was diagnosed hypothyroid 4 years ago and am on Synthroid. I have PCOS (polycystic ovarian disease, metabolic X syndrome, fibromyalgia, and was told by my dr. 8 wks ago that I am diabetic!!!!! I was in alot of nerve pain and joint pain. My c-reactive protein (an inflammation marker) was EXTREMELY high in my body. I HURT or ACHED EVERYDAY!!! I asked my doctor to plz give me a month to 6 weeks to get my blood sugar uder control. She really wanted to put me on meds then but I begged not to. Diabetes is VERY dangerous left untreated. But thank God she gave me a chance. I weighed 232 in November and ranged between 228-232 during the holidays. I was eating foods that I am allergic to. It was like a drug, once I had tasted the forbidden foods my body CRAVED MORE AND MORE and I would gain MORE AND MORE!!!!! I can not have gluten, dairy, or soy. I cried out to God in desperation and repented of the way I was treating my body. I asked God for His strength to do this. The first few weeks of CORE I just ate some fruit, lean protein, some nuts, beans, veggies and quinoa , br. rice, or potatoes for my starch. My BS did come down some but was not staying stable. I did lose about 8 pounds during that time. But I did not feel well. I was still in pain. So I started eating even more basic and did like an elimination diet where you eat only whole foods and note how they make your body feel. It took several weeks of trial and error but I have found that I can not eat beans, nuts, eggs, or ANY STARCH!!! Starches / Grains were making me hurt!!!! Even a 1/4c. of rice milk would put me in pain for days!!!:bcb_cry: This seemed so crazy! Bu I would try a rice cake or 1/4c. of br. rice and I would start hurting again. Corn and potatoes did this to me as well. So, I quit eating the grains and instead ate sw. potato which didn't cause ANY pain what so ever. I started using coconut milk in the refridgerated section of Whole Foods. I would treat myself to some coconut icecream or Edy's fruit bar here and there. I eat avocados, flaxseed oil, and olive oil. I increased my fruit intake to keep my carbs in balance. The weight literally was falling off!!!! I HAVE NEVER LOST LIKE THIS B4. I have not been in onederland in over 10 years but I hit it last week! I'm 196 this morning! I do exercise. I do Leslie Sansone or walk outside, or stationary bike. I just bought the Wave but can't quite keep up yet. I just wanted to get reaquanted with you all and give someone some hope who has been sick or not able to lose. Keep pushing through keep trying!

  5. I rejoined WW 2 wks. ago. I am do SF. I have had a hard time because of food intolerances I have. I can't have wheat, dairy, or soy. I am considering eliminating sugar from my plan. I went w/o sugar a few days last week and I felt great. But then I had a little here and there( I counted my wpa) but the cravings came back and one peice of non dairy choc. wasn't enough. Have any of you eliminated sugar? Tell me thoughts and experiences. Thanks!

  9. Hey Ladies, I haven't posted here in a while. I had alot of health problems and food issues when I was last here. I could not digest any starches, dairy, soy, gluten, etc... I was misdiagnosed as Celiac. I found a doctor who goes to my church. She had heard of all the health problems that this "young" women was having. She contacted me and gave me hope!!! After LOTS of testing this is what we found out. I have an allergy to wheat & soy, my blood sugar was 43!!! Probably from lack of carbs. I was NUTRIENT deprived (malnourished) even though I am overweight. I had no gut flora!!!!! This was the main culprit! I now take a yeast probiotic , florastor(not the same as yogurt) every day. I will probably be on this for a few years. My dr. had never seen anyone with no gut flora. I had lost weight from such a restrictive diet. I was down to 206 from 228 but felt terrible. The florastor medicine has allowed me to eat carbs again and eat carbs again I did!!! I totally went over board. My dr. warned me that I would gain a little weight back because I went from no carbs to CARBS. And gained back I did but not a little, I'm up to 217.2 this morning. I've gone up this much in 6 weeks. So, I'm joining WW today!!! I'm going to follow core. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all again. Yvonne:salut

  12. Hey corbies! I'm just getting back on track. I walked in the park today. It was beautiful here in Florida. I am now going for a 5 mile bike ride. Watch out, I'm on a roll!!!
  13. I made this same recipe but used diced chicken breast. It was yummo!
