  5. Hi guys, I have a few ideas... Before I start I would like to clarify that I always use 1 tsp of extra virgin every single time I cook a sauce….flavor is really important to me and nothing works better that EVOO!! A very simple one really fast and good especially in the summer: Put 1 tsp of evoo in a pan with some garlic and let it sautee for a minute or two and then throw in the pan cut fresh cerry tomatoes. Add salt, fresh cut basil and some hot pepper if you like it and let the tomatoes cook on high flame. Once the sauce is done (water from the tomatoes is almost gone) throw in the previously cooked pasta and 2 tsp of parmigiano cheese and toss the whole thing on high flame for a minute and it is ready to eat. Yummy!! Another one: asparagus, zucchini and tomato sauce Put 1 tsp of evoo in a pan with some garlic and onion and let it sautee for a minute or two and then add asparagus (the soft part) and zucchini cut into pieces and tomato sauce (without any spice). Add salt, pepper and fresh parsley if you like it. When fully cooked, put the sauce on top of the pasta and add 2 tsp of parmigiano cheese. I also like legumes a lot so when I often mix them with the pasta (I used spaghetti and I crush them in small pieces) . Obviously you need to count the points! A very good recipe that I often cook for myself is “pasta e fagioli” (Pasta with beans). Put 1 tsp of evoo in a pan with some onion and let it sautee for a minute or two, then I add the beans (previously cooked with no spice added), plain tomato sauce and some parsley, salt and pepper and I let everything cooked slowly for probably 10-15 minutes. I mixed with pasta and I just love it!! Italian cuisine is really simple, what makes everything good are the basic ingredients like veggies and fruit that just taste great!     Hi Pink Lady, I am doing ww in Italy and my understanding is that the European programs are pretty much the same. In fact most of the fruit for me is also 0 points except a few exceptions. Now, how much fruit you can eat it really depent how your body reacts to it. For example I noticed that if I eat more than 2 fruits serving per day I normally gain or stall. So I tried to do 3 serving of veggies and 2 servings of fruit per day. Other people at my meetings eat even 4 servings of fruit per day and they lose: lucky them!!! So my advise is just to pay attention for a couple of weeks how your body reacts changing the amount of fruit that you eat everyday and you will have a better idea what's going on! hope this can help ciao Teresa
  10. I went to the physiotherapist and she told me that I have really flexible joints, that's the reason why my knee dislocated twice. She suggested me to start a strengh training workout, so I contacted a gym and I will talk to trainer next Friday about a routine that includes cardio but also strenght training. My question is this: when you do weights, how do you calculate your activity points? No problem for the cardio parts, I will calculate the ap based on my heart beats but for strenght training?   11. I remember they gave us a sample a few years ago and then I liked it so much that I actually bought the DVD with the full workouts! I love it and it really help getting me started exercise.After 7 or 8 months I switched to taebo and then to the FIRMS. But ww dvd was my first and was really useful. Ciao Teresa
  12. Congratulation...you definitely deserve it!!! I try to imagine myself at your point but sometimes it is still difficult to believe that I can get there. But on the other side I thought I couldn't lose the first 50 lbs and I did it, so I suppose it is all about "facing a hundred tiny weight loss choices" because "over time your choices shape you!"   13. I love cross stitching. Unfortunately I have to put priorities in my life and exercise is one of them so between the house and everything else that has to be done I did not work on it. I actually started a project 2 years ago: I bought it at Walmart :the 4 seasons. I did 2 seasons and I started the third one, I would really like to finish it by Christmas, I would like to give it to my mom as Christmas present. We will see.
