  1. I just bought one on ebay for $12.99 (including shipping).
  2. Yes, I am now finding this to be true. I will go back to weighing once a week. Thankfully, I have broken the habitual weighing (sometimes 3 times a day!) and can feel the effects of staying OP without seeing a number. It was actually quite freeing, but I will agree that it is easier to slip.
  3. I LOVE my Omron! I've had several cheaper peds, but they are worthless. You have to be able to depend on them for accuracy. I am a spaz about my beloved pedometer too. I look at the readout every hour or so to see the #. To be honest, I've never gotten above 8,000 steps. I just can't seem to do it. I started out with 6,000 though, so I'm improving. Have fun!
  4. I agree. It was not difficult for me at all. I made the WW recipe of "fried" chicken (delicious!!), veggies with dip (wish I had seen the thread about using yogurt cheese dip first), potato salad with lite mayo (only ate a little), and a ff pudding pie recipe. Probably 2 more points than a usual supper, but it was really good and healthy!
  5. I am so tired of having how I view myself depend on that stupid scale! If I'm "up" a little (even if I've stayed OP perfectly), I feel defeated. If I'm "down," I feel like the world is a fantastic place and I could tackle it one handed. I really don't like the power it has. So, I've decided to weigh once a month. This should give me a fair representation of overall weight loss. Has anyone else done this and how did it go for you? Easier? More difficult? Thoughts?
  6. Ditto. Our bodies know best, don't they? I just wish I always listened to myself!
  7. Wow, I would LOVE that! CW, interesting theory. Sounds quite plausible.
  8. WOW! This is awesome news! Thank you for sharing your success with us. It is so motivating to see someone who has DONE it!! Congratulations!:bcbsalute
  9. Thank you SO much for sharing these photos with us!!! You look absolutely stunning. Honestly, I am in awe. What an inspiration you are. Congratulations!
  10. I went to my usual Wednesday afternoon aerobic class, and it had been changed to a...gasp...step aerobics class! I felt so goofy and really didn't know what I was doing. Is there a video that teaches step aerobic moves? Do you have ideas on how to learn the steps? They seem to go so fast, even though it was considered a beginner class. UGH.
  11. I have seen Boca hot dogs and I think there are other brands, too. Can you tell me if you like them and which brand you buy? How many points are they? With summer approaching (i.e. cookouts galore), I need a hot dog alternative. Real hd's are SO high in points, and I usually eat two.
  12. Good for you!! I remember when this occurred to me. I was having a "poor poor pitiful me" week (due to my own lack of staying OP, mind you), and I bought a 25-pound bag of flour at Sam's. I carried it to the front, and my arms were sore. It dawned on me...I have lost more than this sack of flour! It was very motivating and was definitely an "aha" moment. Keep up the great work!
  13. After giving awards, my leader always asks at least twice if she has missed anybody. The receptionist/weigher gives her a list and has been known to forget to write someone's name on the list when it is busy. I was a little embarrassed to raise my hand one week, but I worked so hard for that little star!
  14. I have tears in my eyes reading this post! I can only imagine how you are feeling!! Congratulations, and thank you for sharing your success - it is quite a motivator to hear that it CAN be done! Keep up the great work.
  15. I would count it as light activity because I wouldn't be walking fast enough to break much of a sweat. Maybe between light and moderate would be more accurate since you were holding something heavy while walking slowly.
