  1. I think I'm addicted to orzo, but it is sooooo good!! Here's another recipe with orzo I made up all by myself, very yummy!! 4 skinless boneless chicken breasts (cut into small cubes)-12 pts 8 oz orzo-16 pts (or any kind of pasta) 1 lg can mushrooms-0 pts 1 can 98% fat free cream of chicken soup-4 pts 1 can garbonzo beans-6 pts 2 cups broccoli florets-0 pts 1 1/2 cups water paprika, pepper, garlic powder (trace) Turn oven to 350 degrees. Cook pasta according to package directions. Cook chicken in a skillet with Pam until it was no longer pink. In another skillet (or same one if you remove the chicken), mix soup, water, beans, spices, mushrooms and bring to a boil. Empty the saucy mix into a 9 X 13 baking dish, and add chicken, pasta and broccoli. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. I also sprinkled parmesan cheese on top after it was cooked. Serves 6. DELISH!! ENJOY!
  2. This was so easy and I wanted to share with fellow pasta lovers. Orzo is pasta that kinda looks like rice and you can find it either with the rice or with pasta stuff. 26 oz can spaghetti sauce (I used no sugar, with olives) 2 5oz cans 98% fat free chicken 1 sm can mushrooms oregano and basil (I also used some tabasco) Mix all ingredients in a sauce pan and bring to a boil. Serve 1 cup (2.6 pts) over 2 oz orzo (4 pts). The sauce is 2.6 pts per 1 cup. So I rounded up to 3 pts. So the sauce with 2 oz orzo is 7 points. I sprinkled some mozzerela cheese on top. It was so yummy!!! And if you can't find orzo, you can use any other type of pasta. Enjoy!!
  3. OOPS!! I guess it would have helped if I gave the servings and pts!!  Do not mix the jello according to the pkg directions, just add the powder. And I got 15 pts total and about 16 servings (1/2 c each). Enjoy!!
  4. This is very good and easy to make. 1 sm carton fat free cottage cheese Cool Whip (fat free of course) same amount as the cottage cheese 1 sm pkg orange jello (sugar free) 1 sm can mandarin oranges (drained) 1 med can crushed pineapple (drained) Mix all ingredients together and refrigerate about 2 hours. I know the combination of cool whip and cottage cheese doesn't sound appetizing, but trust me, IT IS!!!
  5. I made these last night and they are AWESOME!! Thanks for figuring out the WW recipe, SteveH.
  6. I made these WW-proof from my grandma's recipe!! So light and yummy!! Try them and let me know what you think. 2 c. flour (16 pts) 6 packets Splenda/Equal (0 pts) 1 c. applesauce (1 pt) 3/4 c. brown sugar (12 pts) 1 tsp. vanilla flavor (0 pts) 1 tsp. baking soda (0 pts) 1 pkg vanilla flavor instant pudding (0 pts) 1/2 c. Egg-beaters (2 pts) 1 c. semi-sweet choc. chips (24 pts) Combine flour and baking soda; set aside. Combine applesauce, splenda, brown sugar, vanilla & pudding mix in a large bowl; beat until smooth and creamy. Beat in Egg-beaters; gradually add flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by small spoonful about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 11-13 minutes. Makes about 4 1/2 dozen. And at 55 pts for the whoel batch, that's about a pt a piece. These will stay softer longer because of the pudding and you can you other flavors of pudding. Enjoy!!!
  7. Pasta with Greens and Beans 6 garlic cloves (I used 4, this was enough) 4 cups coursely cut broccoli rabe (escarole or spinach may be substituted)-I used fresh spinach 1 1/2 cups drained canned cannellini beans, rinsed (again, I sustituted garbonzo beans) 2 cups veggie broth 6 oz uncooked pasta, cooked according to pkg 1. Lightly spray large nonstick saucepan with nonstick cooking spray. Add garlic;cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until softened, about 5 minutes. 2. Add broccoli rabe (or spinach) and beans; cook 2-3 minutes. Add broth; bring toa boil. Reduce heat; simmer 3 minutes. Add cooked pasta; cook, stirring occasionally, 2 minutes longer. Let stand 5 minutes before serving. I am not one to follow a recipe to the T, so I added chopped onions and mushrooms. Very tasty and I ate this at 3pm and was not hungry the rest of the night. Serves 4, 5 pts per serving Enjoy!!!
  8. I'm sure this has been brought up before, but I made the Week 5 Recipe today!!It was wonderful. I made it with spinach and I used garbonzo beans instead of cabinelli beans, but it was yummy!!! I suggest if yuo haven't tried it, you need to!!
