  1. Its been awhile......after a long illness and "life" I am taking back control of my life! We just got word we are expecting our first grandbaby in February!! Im only 39, so being a young grandmother is going to be awesome! Therefore Im dedicating myself to "TAKING CARE OF MYSELF" so that I may take better care of those I love! I want to feel better, eat better, sleep better and exercise better! I will take each day as it comes and put forth my best effort knowing that it is a journey. As of todays weigh in I am 157.5 pounds..........I would like to get down to 120 pounds......I CAN DO THIS!
  2. Hi there buddy.............. I too am in your weight category and found it best to find a "comfort" zone when it comes to the points.......since this is the range we will have to keep for life, then its best to be sure it is something you can stick with. Sounds to me like you are doing just wonderful, and congratulations on your success!.......I LOVE weight watchers and I also use the winning points system.........I find it to be a very good system for me! Congratulations and hope you have continued sucess! *Until We Meet Again......................
  3. I too am confused? I drink a diet coke a day with one of my meals.......and if I dont have any other alternative besides water, then sometimes I get two in a day...(I really dont drink coffee)....so is this bad? I figured as long as I am getting my water in, and staying on program, that a zero calorie/zero fat option was a GOOD thing? *Until We Meet Again................
  4. Yeah!!!!!!!! I made my 10% goal today and did it within one week of what I had planned on hitting! I have been working my butt off on the treadmill (literally....lol) staying on it for an hour a day (about 2.5 miles a day) for six days a week! I feel great!!!!! I only have 30 pounds till goal! YEAAAAAAAAH! I am down three pounds this week and cannot believe it! I am so proud of myself and just wanted to post to show my achievment! Talk to all of you soon, and thanks so much for all your support! *Until We Meet Again.........................
  5. Hi there!.........as far as the points being used.......I also had a hard time using the points during the day----But I have been told that as long as the points are used "during that day" whether it be day or evening, then its ok........I have found though with me, that if I eat a large dinner, it does not help me budget my food. I tend to overeat....so If I really budget my points evenly throughout the day, then I stay satisfied and dont ever need to overeat! Plus it is healthier to steady and balance your meals. As far as eating all the points in the evening,,,,,,like I said, thats what I used to do when I was on WW a few years back, and it never stopped me from losing any weight, I still lost weight. I am not an expert, but thats what I was told...as long as you eat your minimum points during "that day" whether it be day or evening (24 hour period)........hope this helps! Good Luck! *Until We Meet Again..............................
  6. Just wanted to stop by and tell you about the All-Bran honey oat cereal bars I just tried.........They are in the cereal section of the store and they are made out of the "All Bran" cereal (which I DO NOT like.......)..........but the cereal bars are WONDERFUL.........they are only 2pts. and FULL of fiber! I was using the special K cereal bars for a 2pt snack, but they are so darn small.......these all bran honey oat bars are not only sweet, but very filling and they are almost twice the size of the special K bars:exercise2 So for those of you who do not like bran (like me)......now you can get the bran fiber, oats and the sweet taste of honey in a 2pt bar! yeah!!!!!!! *Until We Meet Again...............................

  10. Hi there.........I am at the 18-23 pt. range (stinks yeah, I know).......I do the Weight Watchers Winning Points plan ---I make myself earn my extra points that way I dont just eat em all up! Here is how my usual day goes: Breakfast= 5pt. Lunch= 6pt. Snack=2pt. Dinner=8pt. (I try to stick to this and bank the rest, but on nights that I choose to eat a Weight Watchers dessert for three points my total 23 pts. are used for the day. I try not to eat dessert but only three times during the week. If I bank the usual 2pts. per day, plus the 2pts. Activity points I bank daily....then by the end of the week I have close to 14 points banked........I use these to go out to eat with my hubby:embarrass ....... It is hard, but I PLAN PLAN PLAN.........my meals. If I know I am going to have a larger dinner, then I adjust my other meals to work.......but I have found that If I steady my points then I do not over indulge, or make myself feel like Im eating like a pig! If all my meals are about the same portion size, then your body gets used to eating that size meals! It works for me! Thats my plan! *Until We Meet Again........................ 11. I bought the Ecrich brand boiled ham slices (in packages near Bologna).......thinking I would enjoy a ham sandwich on whole wheat for lunch.....to my suprise, pleasant suprise that is.....you get three whole slices for only one point!!!!!!!! I've went one step beyond ham sandwiches.....I took the ham and rolled a pineapple slice in it and put sugar free smuckers apricot jam on the top and baked it....it works out to be 9 points for the whole pan......(little less than 1 pt. per roll up.) they are WONDERFUL.!!!!!!1 I also tried the cherry vanilla diet dr. pepper.....it was wonderful too! It is nice to know there are some really great tasting things out there for us! Happy Eating!
  12. I didnt have much time tonight for dinner, so I took Ecrich boiled ham slices and put canned pineapple rings (cut rings in half and put one ring rolled up into each slice of ham) then tooth pick them. Put a dab of Sugar free Apricot jam (smuckers) on top of each roll. bake in oven until all becomes bubbly and yummy. Im sure you could vary this reciepe many ways.........the ham is 3 slices for 1 pt. and the pineapple was 5 pts for the whole can.......the jam is 0 but I counted it as 1 pt. just because I used extra.....so We are talking 9 points for the whole pan, and it made 9 ham rolls!...........I served it with mixed greens (opts) and I am absolutley stuffed!.........It was sooooooooooooo good! and it only took 10 minutes for my whole dinner to be done:crazy: Hope you Enjoy! *Until We Meet Again.................
  13. I love to cross stitch......the only problem is, I run daycare, and it is extremely difficult to do the "hard" pictures because I cannot concentrate on them for any amount of time.....during nap time, when I can sit for 15 minutes......lol.........I can do a few rows, but I try to keep to the simple color plans so that I dont get too frustrated when I have to put it down..... I have a friend who does the Beautiful Victorian pictures and I have always envied her! It takes a real talent to do the big ones! Happy stitching! *Until We Meet Again...........................
  14. I am currently on the Weight Watchers Winning Points program and I count my 18-23 points a day for food and then I also calculate my Activity Points (usually bank them....) I used to workout only once a day (usually 1/2 hour to 45 min) all at once....but after hearing all the hype about how you can break-up your activity time (workout time) into several mini workouts as long as it adds up to the at least 1/2 hour a day, I decided to ride the bike for 15 min in the morning and 15 min at night and whenever I had time to do sculpting, then I would fit it in too........ My dilema is.........according to my Activity Points scale.......If I work out for 15 minutes, then I can gain 1 Activity Point.......but I would have to work out for 35 minutes to gain 2 Activity points........so how do I figure it for two mini workouts? Do I gain 2 points for the day or only 1? This doesnt make much sense to me........I mean its no big deal, I can squeeze in an extra 5 minutes in there to gain the extra point, but I dont want to be cheating myself either. The mini workouts are soooooooo much easier to fit in with the kids and their busy schedule. If anyone can answer this question, I would greatly appreciate it. I currently weigh 143 lbs. My range is 18-23 food points a day..... Thanks for your help....... *Until We Meet Again............................
  15. Can anyone tell me how you figure out your ten percent goal? Do you take your current weight and times it by ten percent? I started out at 150 lbs. so is my ten percent 15 pounds? I am rewarding myself with ribbons for my goals to hang on fridge......(since im doing the program at home).....I wasnt sure if this is how the goal thing worked? Thanks, *Until we meet again..........
