  4. Barley & Lentil Soup Thick hearty and delicious!! 1c chop onion 1c.chop celery 1 clove garlic minced 1 can (28 oz) tomatoes or 4 cups fresh 3/4c lentils-rinsed 3/4 c pearl barley 6 c water 6 bouillion cubes (vegi or chicken) 1/2 tsp rosemary crushed 1/2 tsp dried oregano crushed 1/4 tsp pepper 1 cup thin sliced carrots Saute onions, garlic, celery in large stock pot sprayted with Pam until tender. Add water, toms, lentils, barley, bouillion, rosemary, oregano, pepper and carrots. Cook 40 min until barley carrots and lentils tender. **I didnt have all the above ingreadients and loved it exchanging the rosemary for parsely and 1 bay leaf. it makes 6 cup servings I calculate it to be 2 points per cup.( Please let me know if Im off!) Can be topped with shredded cheese or sour cream or alone its delicious!!
  5. I want to see how many points it is for cornbread. The recipe off the cornmeal box. Do I take the ingredients and figure the point value for each, add it up and divide into servings for the point value? Now that Ive written it out that would make sense but just checking?
  6. Great question. Im glad you asked it. And great responses. Ive been really having a hard time with liquid intake of any kind. The explaination of the requirments helps. And no WONDER my skin is so dry! Thanks:water1:
  7. I LOVE this! I do the FF plain yogurt and the FF SF white choc. pudding. I do a dollop of FF cool whip and a few frozen blue berries. To DIE for! (i also put it on 1 LF graham cracker for 1 point so worth that 1 point!!) It tasted just like the real thing to me. Ive done the SF FF choc pudding but like the white better. DH likes it too! Thank you for the recipe!!:angel
  8. Heres a yummy turkey & apple breakfast sausage. Just substitute the bread crumbs for a egg to help hold it together making it all CORE. Freeze and then microwave for a quick breakfast idea. This is taken directly from the cook book "New dieter's cookbook" 1/2 pound ground turkey 2 T soft bread crumbs 1/2 c shredded apple 1/4 t crushed sage 1/4 t pepper 1/8 t salt 1/8 t paprika Dash ground nutmeg nonstick spray In a large bowl, combine all ingredients. Shape mixture into four 1/2-inch thick patties Spray rack of broiler pan with non stick spray. Broil 4-5 inches from heat 10 min or untill no longer pink; turn once. Or spray large skillet and cook over med heat for 8-10 min untill no pink. Makes 4 servings 101 calories, 10 g protien, 3 g carb, 5 g fat, 35 mg cholestrol, 116 mg sodium, 135 mg potassium
  9. These are yummy! (I like to have them in a english muffin, molly MCButter, egg, ff cheese slice very filling.) They freeze great! Makes 4 servings 101 calories, 10 g protien, 3 g carb, 5 g fat, 35 mg cholestrol, 116 mg sodium, 135 mg potassium **I was thinking this could be modified to omit the bread crumbs and use a egg or egg white to help hold it together, then it would be CORE wouldnt it? Enjoy:D
  10. Made one of these last night and used half a pita pocket for the other. I split them in half shared with DH. Both were great! will do this one again for sure! We used left over Turkey Taco meat as a topping with a few black olives. I think we liked the pita one better because we love crust but the tortilla was filling even just half! Thanks for the ideas!!
  11. I cant find split pea soup in the ww book? The bag of dried peas I used to make the soup said 3 Tble was a serving 120 calories 0.5 fat and 4 fiber. Do you think it was a typo 3 Tbl spoons is not worth having for 2points!
