  1. Bumping up! I just made the Potato Cheddar Chowder (about half way down the first page) last week and am making it again tomorrow. YUM!!! The Taco Pie is also a big favorite around here. Thanks so much cybergranny!!
  2. I also have indoor workout crosstrainers that are never allowed outside. My workout area is my bedroom which is carpeted and I don't wear shoes in the house either. However, I prefer to wear shoes for the FIRM workouts so I keep the clean indoor pair with my weights.
  3. I love a 1/2 cup of Kashi Go Lean Crunch! mixed into my Yoplait Light yogurt (lemon and banana are my favorites) with a tsp of flax seed oil. Sticks with me for a long time! Makes a great breakfast or late afternoon snack. Yum!
  4. I've been using their products for several months now and I love them. You can request up to 4 samples from the website and if your friend refers you she will get a discount and I think you might also on your first order. You also get samples with the catalogs. My favorite products are: Deep Cleansing Oil Mild Soap (usually I have problems with glycerine soaps irritating my skin so I was very hesitant to try it, but this one is great) Velvet Skin Coat Concentrated Eye Cream Olive Virgin Oil Rich Moisture I use the Olive Leaf Cream and Q10 eye cream at night. I started with the Olive Essentials Set and added things a little at a time.

  6. Hi FIRMies! It's been a looooong time since I've checked in. I saw some of the new FIRM tapes in the store today and thought of you all. Has anyone tried any of them? Any thoughts? I couldn't resist picking one up. I got the Pilates dvd and hope to try it out tomorrow. I would like to have gotten the balance ball dvd but it was $25 - ouch!! I haven't been FIRMing in quite a while. I still do the circuit training and have been bumping up my workouts from the ususal 30 minutes 3x per week to 45 minutes 3 - 4 times per week, plus walking 3 miles 1 - 2x per week. I also started focusing more on cardio to try and increase my endurance. Sometimes I feel like it is 1 step forward and 2 steps back. Anyway, I think of all you FIRMies now and again and hope you're all doing well!
  7. Thanks Joanne, I didn't know that! I think I've successfully talked him out of using Teal on the walls... we're using it as accents in posters, jerseys, penants and magnets on his magnet boards, etc. I'm still cringing at the thought of all the gray and black.. but I think it will look pretty good in a "boy" room. The black will be accents also.. futon, waste basket, etc.

We are redoing our teen son's room right now. He wants a San Jose Sharks hockey theme so we are painting his walls light gray with one dark gray wall. Seems like just yesterday we were doing his room in a Lion King theme... Olivia, congrats on your loss! You are doing an awesome job! We got back from our trip early Saturday morning and I am soooo tired. We walked and walked and walked. It was so much fun to be able to ride all the rides with my kids! Despite the park food I managed to eat well and drink all my water, and my pre-WI day sneek peek shows a loss so I am hopeful that will still be the case tomorrow morning. I took some of my own food for breakfast and snacks and that was a big help. See you all on next weeks FIRMie check in thread!

  11. Hi FIRMies! Well, we are off to Disneyland tomorrow so I don't have much of a workout plan. I'm sure I will be doing quite a bit of walking and I'm taking lots of food to help me stay OP.   12. Hey all! Hope you're all having a wonderful weekend! I've been a bit MIA this week as we've had lots going on... we had the inside of the house painted (took all week), the kids got out of school on Wednesday, with minimum days all week, plus the end of year school carnival, field day, helping my older daughter make bracelets (her new summer $$ making project), playdates and preparing for a multi-family garage sale that we had today.... well, you get the idea. I'm pooped! I made it to 1-2-3 fit M, W and F, but was not able to fit in FIRMing... it just felt too awkward to try and do it with the painter here. Whooo Hoooo Heidi!!! Them's a lot o' calories! Great job! Liv, way to go on that awesome loss!!! How exciting!!!! I am so happy for you!!! We are going to an outdoor concert tomorrow to see INXS, Marty Casey, Switchfoot, Ringside, etc and I'm looking forward to it. But no tank tops for me yet though. Hopefully by the end of the summer! We are headed for Disneyland on Tuesday and I will be gone until late Friday, so no FIRMing next week, unless I am real good and can get it in on Monday and/or Tuesday. But I'm sure I will get in LOTS of walking.
  13. Nikki, I've had gains while FIRMing too. In fact, I just posted about it in the last FIRMie check in thread (Here is my post), and in my Exercise Log on my website. It's been frustrating and discouraging, but I'm sticking with it. For the past 3 weeks I've finally started going down again and as of this morning have lost 5 of the 5.5 that I gained. I have not lost any inches from any of the spots where I measure, but I do feel like my clothes fit a little better and I can feel the muscles. Hang in there! Great job on those push-ups! I am impressed!!
