I personally hate breakfast and I really hate cold breakfast so I developed a routine: At night I set out a small skillet and spatula and Pam ready for the morning. 1 med egg 2 slices of 35 cal bread 1 slice 2% cheese 2 tsp RF mayo-sometimes I have gas heat so I turn the heat on put the toast and cheese in the toaster oven crack the egg and in less than 3 minutes I have a hot breakfast as I am walking out the door. 5 points or under
  2. This is wonderful! I made it to take to a NYE party and it was a huge hit with everyone. It is one of my favorites and this recipe is nearly half the fat and calories as the original. No one knew though until I told them is was lo-cal!! Spinach Artichoke Dip Recipe courtesy Juan-Carlos Cruz Recipe Summary Difficulty: Easy Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook Time: 30 minutes Yield: 6 servings User Rating: 1 box frozen chopped spinach, thawed 1 cup light sour cream 1/2 cup grated Parmesan 1 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella 8 ounces reduced fat cream cheese, softened 4 cloves garlic, crushed 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, plus more as needed 1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce, plus more as needed 1 (14-ounce) can artichoke hearts, drained Carrot sticks, celery sticks or baked tortilla strips, for serving Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Squeeze all excess liquid from spinach, place in a food processor with sour cream, Parmesan, 1/2 cup of the mozzarella, the cream cheese, garlic, pepper and hot sauce. Process until just blended but still slightly lumpy. Add artichokes and pulse to form a chunky mixture. Place in a 1-quart baking dish. Top with remaining mozzarella.   3. I am not even close to goal yet but I am working hard to get there. I also use this site and different TV programs to help me stay motivated. On FitTV's Diet Dr. they did a show on WW and they interviewed the head of WW and here is a synopsis of what she had to say about lifetime. She basically said that she lost weight on WW after the birth of her children. They actually changed the lifetime requirements to WI only once a month because it was more suitable to maintaining. For herself, she doesn't jot everything down. Especially when she is travelling she tries to make the best possible choices and then when she is home she WI and gets much stricter when she notices a fluctuation in her weight. IMO,I think that is why it would be important to still go to meeting after reaching lifetime (ironic since I just quit going to meetings and am using this forum as my support but I wasn't liking the meetings either). I also think this is very personal and for some it will be just as detailed as losing weight and for others they will be able to loosen up and watch the scale and know when they need to buckle down and stay within their goal.

  5. It has taken me 13 weeks to lose 14.5 lbs. I wanted to lose 2 lbs. a week but it is not happening. And that is OK I am still losing and not gaining and I feel better about the way my skin will have the opportunity to shrink with my body. My suggestion is too focus more on how you feel, the healthy lifestyle you are gaining and not so much on the scale. It has to be for life not just a year or you will gain it back and have to take this road once again.
  6. I have almost cut out caffiene in my diet just because I try and drink mostly water, the occasional diet soda (CF) and V8. I guess it really doesn't matter but I never have caffiene after about 3-4 because I would never get to sleep. It is a good filler when I have that 3 pm hunger pain. FF vanilla creamer, SF caramel syrup and usually decaf coffee (depends on my eyelids status)! I have heard many athletes that are training for a special events like a marathon or bike race...you know very strenuous events....their trainers advise them to avoid caffiene! I have a few aquaintances who do these type of things and all of them cut out caffiene while training.
  7. I just started using them and I have a 5 disc set. They are really difficult for me so far, of course, I did just start. You can definitely feel the burn so you know something is working. I am also using the Firm and I love it as well. I don't seem to be losing much on the scale very quickly but I put on an outfit that had been in my closet for about 4 years and had been to tight and it is now baggy. That is proof that something is working and it is wonderful!!!! I like this combination because I get the sculpt, and cardio and some stretching with the Firm and then do pilates on my rest days. It all intertwines.
  8. That is wonderful:headover: :headover: I am so proud of you and happy for you. My loss is slow too (less than 1lb a week) but it is not how fast it is just that we get there. Or so I was told by a dear BCB buddy!!!

  10. I absolutely hate it when I think I have bookmarked something and then can not find it. I have searched the site for over an hour and I have decided I must have just overlooked it but there was a post that gave a lot of different fair foods. I have and found the one from dottie's but this one was more in-depth. I had gyros and I think cinnamon rolls and all the really good stuff. Any help finding this list I lost would be so appreciated. As I am going to the fair on Sunday.

  12. I do mine right before bed everynight and then shower for the next day. I like to sleep in. You would not believe how great I sleep since I started this but with twin babies getting up in the middle of the night (if they still do) that may not be the greatest thing for you.

  14. Hello Firmies, I have a few question to ask all you experts. First, I just started using the Firm and I bought the new TransFirmer. It has SuperScult as the first on the rotation and I had such a hard time with it I have actually done it 4 times now instead of 2 like the rotation says. This morning was the 4th time but it is the first time I could really keep up and do everything. I can already feel a difference in the way I am exercising. But the question is-Do you think it is ok to do each video until I get comfortable with form and can actually get thru the video or should I try the rotation just like the book they sent says? I was supposed to do the Super Aerobic (not sure of the exact name) for the 3rd day of firm training and it is longer than the sculpt video so I really did not think I would get through it. And I have done the Firm for a week and I am doing elliptical machine on the days it says to rest. And even though I was sssooo good and OP all week plus the exercise I did not lose at all, stayed exactly the same. Does the muscle weighs more than fat thing happen that quickly?? Thank you for your help!
