  1. I was going thru and organizing some recipes and can't believe i found one that may fit your bill! Here it is. It comes out to 4 points on my excel spread sheet. Grilled Game Hens These savory hens can be grilled outdoors or broiled indoors. For a simple summer feast, serve them with Guacamole , a green salad and a stack of warm tortillas. Makes 4 servings 1/2 cup coarsely chopped onion 4 large garlic cloves, peeled 2 small bay leaves One 2x1/2" strip orange zest One 1/2" piece cinnamon stick 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon paprika 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves 1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram leaves 1/4 teaspoon whole black peppercorns 4 whole cloves 1/2 cup fresh orange juice Two 1-pound Cornish game hens, halved In spice mill or mini-jar of blender, combine onion, garlic, bay leaves, zest, cinnamon stick, salt, paprika, oregano, thyme, marjoram, peppercorns and cloves; process to a coarse powder. Transfer spice mixture to small bowl. Add juice; stir to combine. Carefully loosen skin of hens; rub juice mixture over and under skin of hens and inside hen cavity. Place hens in gallon-size sealable plastic bags; seal bags. Refrigerate hens overnight. Preheat outdoor barbecue grill according to manufacturer's directions, or preheat broiler and spray broiler pan with nonstick cooking spray. Grill hens over hot coals or place in prepared broiler pan and broil 6" from heat 10 minutes on each side, until golden brown and thigh juices run clear when pierced with a fork. Remove and discard skin. 2. It's 100 calories, 3 gms fat, 3 gms fiber. Four ounce container. COmes out to two points on my excel spread sheet. It's pretty good .. tho i like my rice pudding a little sweeter, so i add some splenda and some cinnamon too. But it's nice and creamy and thick and has a lot of rice in it. It's a keeper in my book!
  3. Another Yum! Had this recently, the bread and cheese was great ... cheese was nice and melted, stringy .... it wasn't quite as large as i was thinking that it coudl be tho. After the portion controlled bread and cheese, with the rest of the soup being mostly broth and onions, I thought there could have been a tad more. But I'll definately have it again!
  4. Yum ... just had the Southwest Chicken wrap tonight ...The salsa was great, whole wheat tortillas were pretty filling ... in fact, the whole THING was GREAT! Next time I'll add some shredded lettuce and onion to it. I got it at half price on sale, but they aren't usually on sale locally, I've been eyeing them for a couple weeks.
  5. Yummmm.... they look great! I did the store locator and found that they carry them at a local store that I don't usually go to. I'll have to stop there and pick up a bag! Thanks for the tip!
  6. I use the gazelle ... with my weight, i like it because it's low impact! The model I have doesn't have any resistance bars or anything on it. The dvds/tapes go over some great different things to do while you're on the machine to get your heart pumping, he does some motivational sprints and countdowns, and the gazelle does work your muscles! However, i usually just walk on it at this point, and count it as low intensity. I put on Greta Van Susteren and Nancy Grace at 10 pm and watch tv and walk!
  7. Am i looking at this right? 8 slices in the pizza ... 12 inch round pizza .. 1/8 of a pizza Pepperoni Cal - 210, Fat 7.6, Fiber 1 That came out to 4 points? I ate 3 pieces, figuring that I could .. i hope i was right? It was one of those coming home late from the kid's soccer practice ... my head was throbbing from the sun ... the boys wanted something NOW (and i thought i could eat at least one piece of pizza and a salad, instead of taking them all thru the Drive Thru at McD. and spending a HECK of a lot more than $10 for 5 people!!) I won't do this all the time, but (if the calculations are correct), but it's fairly affordable point wise for an occasional pizza splurge, esp since my BK and LU points were on the low side this morning. If i remember correctly, a lot of the Pizza Hut Pizzas had more points, must be more dough?

    kabobs points

Hard to guess without knowing the serving sizes and if it was marinated in anything. I found a WW sirloin kabob recipe for 2 points ... (1 pound of steak, in five servings - only one tsp of oil for the marinade, some soy sauce and sherry/wine) a WW food list i have shows two skewers of kabobs as 8 points ... that would be more like a traditional shishkebab i think. Found a recipe for 1 teriyaki beef kabob that was 4 points ... but no mention re: size of the kebab, it was for a kind sold at a particular store. Chicken and veggie teriyaki kabob for 3 points. I know i'm not much help ... sorry! Someone else may come around with better ideas!

    Chicken Soup

Mmmmm... i love soup! My WW books lists chicken soup, without matzo balls, as 1 point for 1 cup. If you have a recipe and know what's in there, you could point out the whole thing. (i.e., if you use FF broth, and only 0 point veggies, it would be 0 ... but if you use lots of chicken, peas, potoatoes, corn, etc ... it would be more points). For example, the ever present can Campbells canned Italian Wedding soup that i have at my office desk, in case i forget to make my sandwich is 110 calories, 2.5 grams fat, 2 grams fiber for each 1 cup serving. There are 2 - servings in the microwavable bowl. That is 2 points for each serving ... or 4 for the entire container.
  10. I searched online for nutritional info for Shortbread cookies .. found a lot of ranges, depending on if they are home made, commercial ... have nuts in them, etc. But in general they were around 60 - 75 cal, 3.5 - 4.5 Fat - 0 fiber for one small cookie. that equals 1 point. Of course, if they was a Panera's shortbread ... grinning ... 340 Cal, 21 whopping grams of fat, and 1 fiber for 8 points! i knew that there was a reason i liked those so much!!

    Cake

Welcome aboard! The info I had re: cake is: Cake, with icing - 1/12 of 9" layer cake or 3" square - 12 points It doesn't go into ounces of the cake. If you were the one who made the cake, you could figure out all the individual points and then divide by number of servings. Some cakes are decadent and others more reasonable. These types of numbers are "guesstimates" which help when you truly don't have a clue. Whether or not the cake a boo boo depends on your eating plan for the rest of the day ... AND your flex points for the week, Activity points for the day, etc. I have just figured out what my OP splurges are going to be this week, due to a special occasion and will now know that i can indulge in those choices and NOT feel guilty because i've planned for it and will be staying OP. Before, if i wouldn't have planned, i would have likely felt guilty .... then overate because of that ... and spiraled downhill. It's a liberating feeling! (I know, corny, huh?)

    Points slider

i don't have a website for it ... but what some people at work did, was to xerox theirs onto some heavy paper and then cut and paste it together. It may be possible to even laminate it for more durability. It may work if you can't find a website .... as long as your copy isn't to shredded! Good luck! Barb
  13. I positively LOVE Alfredo stuff (Butter and cheese, what's not to love?!? ) So i tried the Michelina's Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo. it was 6 points. It wasn't a huge portion, but I added more broccoli to the mix which really bulked it up, had a salad/dressing ... yummy dinner last night! I too, found it on sale for only $1 ... so i loaded up and have about 6 for dinner for those nights when my family wants something that i really can't lighten up, or that i really don't want. ------------------------- Barb
