  1. A friend served a dip this weekend that was so good I had to figure the points out, I made it a little differently and added a couple of things and it is really very good. I had 1/2 cup of this with 3 points worth of rice crackers and it was very filling and satisfying. Mexican Cheese Dip 1 cup diced onion 1 cup diced mixed peppers 1 cup 95% fat free mayonnaise 1 cup 95% fat free cream cheese 1 cup fat free sour cream 1 cup salsa 1 tsp garlic powder 2 tbls hot sauce 1 large jalepeno pepper diced 150 grams grated reduced fat old cheddar cheese about 1.5 cups lightly packed Cream Mayo, cream cheese, sour cream until smooth then add the rest of the ingredients and pulse or fold in until well blended. The whole recipe is 1567 calories, 49 grams fat, 9 grams fiber This makes 30, ¼ cup servings at 1.13 points Core counts 1 points Or 15 ½ cup servings at 2.26, I count that as 2.5 points Core counts 2 points This is very nice as a chip/cracker dip or as a spread on a wrap. Add some fresh small shrimps for a more filling meal

  3. I used to get horrible cravings for salty crunchy types of foods the week prior to my period. Then I learned that chromium helps reduce cravings and started taking it every day. I have found that I have had a huge reduction in cravings. Unless I use refined white sugar or flour which seems to reduce the effectiveness and causes me to crave more sweets. I also make sure that I have plenty of good alternatives ready in the fridge prepared veggies, fruits and pretzels are my best choices when I do feel the need to eat.

Thank You all for your comments, I was so worried about posting my pictures the first time but it keeps getting easier! lol I have to say that even though it can be hard to look at yourself at your highest weights, please, please, please take pictures through your journey, I am so glad that I have these to look back at and to help me remember what I have left behind. It really is a wonderful treasure to have these and to be able to see what amazing progress I have made, I am still having trouble getting used to the fact that I have lost 100 pounds, that number is just too much for me to absorb right now. Looking at the photos I can see that I have lost that much. Take Pictures, Take Pictures everyone!

  9. I have always been a person who did not feel right eating in the morning, I would wait until 10 or 11 and then eat. Now I eat breakfast every morning and I have become used to it and now I look forward it. I also look outside the breakfast box, I don't go for toast or cereal. I love eating wraps of any kind and my all time favorite breakfast is this: 1 cup yogurt I use silhouette at 2 points per cup 1 cup raspberries @ 1 point per cup 1 cup Blueberries @ 1 point per cup 2/3 cup All Bran Buds @ 2 points I often add 1/2 tsp of cinnamon to this as well Mix it all together and let sit overnight. I eat 1/4 for breakfast and 1/4 for snack later in the day. It makes enough for 2 days. If I am really hungry I will eat half for breakfast at only 3 points it is an amazing breakfast.

  11. I often use small zuchinni instead of cucumbers, you get all the goodness without the wet and I love zuchinni. Veggie salads are a fantastic way to fill up and stay satisfied
  12. Yes, yes, yes!!!! I finally reached a huge milestone, 100 pounds gone from my body for good! I am so happy and proud of myself! I have never lost this much weight before. Now I know it can be done the second 100 is no problem at all! I gotta get to work, time to knuckle down and start on phase two! I am so excited I am almost halfway to goal. Thanks to all my best buddies (Mixed Nuts!) you all know who you are and we will celebrate later! A special thank you to Janerae who was the first person to welcome me to the site and who has been a huge support and a wonderful friend, you are truly a Queen and will have a special place in my heart always! Thank you to the site and all the wonderful BCBer's who have always been an anchor for me, you all rock!

  14. As usual Joanne has great advice and it is true. A pound is a pound but a pound of fat takes up more volume than muscle. I started exercise as soon as I was able to move comfortably about 6 weeks into program and started a formal exercise program 3 months into program. What a difference it has made to my strength, stamina, fitness, self esteem! The list goes on, I know I am going to have muscles ready to take on whatever I throw at them by the time I get to goal, I won't need to wait to build strength to start any activity, I will already be strong. Never wait to begin excercise, especially strength training as it is the best thing you can do for your body and heart!
  15. This is an awesome product and Yes we get it in Western Canada. Safeway had a display and all that was left on it were 6 packages so I snapped up a tomato and a regular. I made a great sandwich with the regular, just lightly toasted both sides in a dry pan on the stove sprinked a little cheese, added onions, and turkey and to was great, I like them fresh too just rolled up. I made pizza for the kids and myself with the tomato ones and they asked for more after they each had their one whole pizza. I am counting the ones I bought at 2 points each and they are so good and worth 2 points!
