  1. this is how I personally make it;;;;; use 1 cup of corn meal to 4 cups of broth or water and STILL sometimes added 1/2 cup of salsa at the end, and it still set up! I cook mine on "high" (in the micro) for about 15 minutes...pour into a shallow pan and let "set" in fridge. then I slice as thin as I can and "fry" it in the microwave using a bacon dish. I spray it with Pam and then spray the tops of the polenta with Pam and nuke it! watch it though because it WILL burn! you can do the same thing with a potato! use a baking potato for chips! the thinner the better!

  3. Isn't it great how we can all make improvements on a recipe!? Thats why I love Bootcamp Buddies! SO many suggestions! I'm going to try some the the new suggestions as soon as my bananas get good and ripe. SOmething else I do... I take a ripe banana and mash it up and spread it on my warmed muffin like jam! YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!! And about the Quick oats vs. rolled... I use quick : )

  10. Thank you all for the compliments : ) Yes I have always done Core! Everyone is different but for me... Flex is too much like a "diet" . If I had to weigh, measure, and count every bite I would fail and I know it. I love Core! I really need to update that slideshow too lol

  12. Ive been making this recipe for quite some time and it is the BEST chili I have ever made! When I have to go to Wendys... I used to get a baked potato with broccoli and no cheese..they dont serve that anymore so I get a potato , plain and side salad.
  13. Mmm I couldnt wait to get up this morning and have breakfast again! Yesterday I added 1 packet of SF cocoa mix to my usual 1/2c of oatmeal made with skim milk. I still sliced my banana in it and it was YUMMMMMM!!!!!!
  14. here is MY favorite cornbread recipe! Barbara's Core Corn Muffins Servings : 9 -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 1/2 cups cornmeal, whole-grain 1 tablespoon baking powder 1 cup skim milk 1/4 cup butter buds® or molly mcbutter 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup egg beaters or 2 beaten eggs 2 tablespoons(20 pkts) Splenda -- optional for a sweet muffin, increase as you like for desired sweetness Mix cornmeal, baking powder, salt, and Splenda together in medium bowl. Add the wet ingredients and stir just until mixture comes together. Spray a non stick muffin pan with non stick cooking spray and fill nine of the muffin cups with batter. Cook in a 350° for 15 to 20 minutes, til just browning around the edges.

  17. I love my little $1.50 Quick cut pearing knives! LOVE THEM!!! Get a few! I have 6 and its a good thing because I use them so often theyre always in the dishwasher! I also love the nylon square pan scrapers!also,love the serrated bread knife, pizza cutter, spatulas are great, all the nylon cooking utensils, I even have the cookware! The pots and pans are awesome!!!! I love my lg. batter bowl for making microwave polenta, the mini whipper is great for smoothies! I have a stone loaf opan that is great, Used to have the cookie sheet until I boke it lol and the cinnamon spice blend is awesome!

  19. funny you should ask....I just did that last week. I used a packet of the ranch dry dip/dressing seasoning...it was awesome!
  20. here is my recipe that I use: 1 cup of coarse grain corn meal in 4 cups of water. Add whatever spices you like. I usually use Adobo seasoning and a shake or 2 of crushed reds. Microwave for 15 minutes stirring occasionally. I then pour it onto a baking dish...refrigerate an d when its set and cooled I THINLY slice it and follow the directions below: Slice potatoes or polenta very thinly, about 1/8th inch thick. Lay a piece of parchment on a cheap PAPER plate and spray with Pam. lay slices on sprayed parchement single layered. Spray the potatoes/polenta with Pam and seasonings of choice ( I just use salt ) . Place another piece of parchment over the them and spray. Lay down another layer of potatoes/polenta, and repeat spraying and seasoning. Finish with another piece of parchment. Microwave for 10 minutes. Microwaves vary so experiment, starting with the least amount of time and increase. Your potato thickness will also be a factor. These will be golden and crispy! You can keep reusing the same pieces of parchment paper over and over.
  21. Ive tried all the popcorn flavorings too...The only one I like is white cheddar. Old bay sounds good as well as the taco...I'll have to try that too. thanks!
