  1. Wow, good question. I really think it depends on the person. When I started ww, I was drinking five to six cans a day of diet pepsi, or diet coke, to keep me awake, as I was on strong pain pills for my back pain. I decided to cut out the soda, and just drink crystal lite tea, that also has less sodium, and of course my water. I have not had a soda in over a year, but the other day, I had to drive 90 miles to pick my husband up from the airport, and I was tired, so I purchased three cans of diet coke, and drank that along the way to keep me awake. I stepped on the scale the next day, and I had gained 2.5 pounds( and the soda was the only thing that I had deviated my eating plan, anyway, it was water weight, for I lost it in the next few days, by drinking more water than usual. So, I really think, that it reacts differently for each person.
  2. Way to go Girl !!! It sure is a good feeling !!!!!
  3. Bumping Up!!! I made this last night, and my husband went nuts over it, great taste, and I used the spenda.
  4. I made this the other day and OMG, was it delicious. I used two bags of fresh potatoes ( found in the dairy isle) these were cubed, can't remember the name. Anyway, I sprayed the pan with pam, and browned the potato cubes, then put in three cans of chicken broth (14 1/2 oz) and one pkg of country gravy mix. When it was done, I placed it in the bowls, and added a little of fat free shreded cheese in the middle. Even my husband liked it. He said don't loose the recipe, because I want you to make it again!!
  5. Keep up the good work!! When I made my 10%, I went to the grocery store, and tried to carry around 20 lbs, of potatoes, you know, I don't know who I ever carried around the extra weight. I'm sure you are noticing, how much better you feel!!! Way to go!!!!!!!!!!
  6. Way to go!!! Looks like, I'm starting to see your collar bone!! Keep up the good work.
  7. Today was the day, that I recived my lifetime award. Boy, what a feeling! As I said before, I owe my daughter everything. She was the one that joined WW first, and asked me to join. Thanks to everyone, on this board, for the wonderful recipes, and tips, on how to do the WW program. You're a great bunch of ladies, and gents!!
  8. Way to go!!! you look awesome. I know how you feel, go to the store and try to lift the weight you lost in potatoes, its pretty hard to do!! or try 5 lb bags of sugar, and you will see why you feel so much better!!! Keep up the good work

  10. Way to go girl!!!!! I went to your blog, and your photos are great!! I really admire, you younger girls, for losing weight. I am 62 years old, and wish I would have lost weight when I was young, maybe I wouldn't have the old dreaded bat wings, now!!! Anyway, congratulations on you making goal
  11. I had been asked to post photos of my weight loss. I don't kow how to post them on this site, so put them on yahoo. the address is http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/honeyto6/album?.dir=/bc1bscd&.src=ph I hope this works. The first photo has alot of shodows, but I think you can see the 40.6 pound difference.
  12. I have been searching for a bran muffin that tastes like the ones that I get at Sweet Tomatos Restaurant. Well, I finally put one together this morning, and it is great, at least according to my taste. Here's the recipe-- I figured 1 point, per muffins, I used the mini muffin pans, that made 24 muffins. 1 cup flour 1 1/2 teas baking soda 1/4 teas salt 1/4 cup splenda 1/4 cup dried apples cut into small pieces ( I didn't have fresh, but you could use fresh if you want) 1 1/4 cup fat free milk 1/2 c molasses 2 egg whites 2 Tablespoon unsweetned apple sauce 2 c bran flakes Mix the first five ingredients together. In a different bowl, mix the last five ingredients together. Let the bran flakes soften. Then add the dry ingredients to the liquid, stirring just to combine. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees, spray mini muffin tin with pam. Fill muffin tins full, bake for 15 to 16 minutes. Cool in pan for about 3-4 minutes, then take them out of pan and cool on rack till cool. Then enjoy!!! Now, as I said, I came up with 1 point per mini muffin, if anyone gets anything different, please let me know.
  13. Wow, what a feeling!!! I made my ww goal today. I called my daughter, and told here, and also thanked her, for asking me to join ww. She had started first, and did so good, that I though, what did I have to loose? 40.6 pounds, is what I lost, and I feel so much better. I want to thank everyone, who posts all the great recipes, and gives the great advice, I don't think I would have been able to make it, without using this site. You all are a great bunch of ladies, and men. Thanks, Judy in Nevada
  14. I finally took a package of the Southaven Farms Oat Bran Mix, and made it according to directions and added 1 1/2 teas of banana flavoring. They are good, but next time I will add 2 teaspoons of the flavoring.
  15. I know this might sound crazy, but does anyone have a recipe for using artificial banana flavoring in muffins instead of bananas? Thanks Judy in Nevada
