  1. Tonight I googled "heart rate calculator" to find out my fat buring range and I came up with 2 different ones...94-138 and 112-159. What if I go over these numbers? When I do my t/m workouts I have noticed I will be over the 159 by quite a bit sometimes, is this ok? What is best for burning the most fat? Any advice would be great.
  2. Hello! I am fairly new to running/jogging and I was looking for good websites but could not find any, can anyone help me out? I was mainly looking for ones that tell me how to run and how to increase my time running. When you started running did you lose more weight? Mine seems to have stayed the same. Any help or advice you can give would be great. Thanks.
  3. Sorry to hear about the questions, I too got those. It still hurts. I think exercise is the best way to lose weight, other than following the WW plan. I noticed the weight loss first in my belly area so that was more motivation. Stick with it, the plan works.
  4. Does anyone have one of these? Do you just wear the watch type thing or is there a thing that goes around your chest or arm as well? How well do they work? Thanks.

  8. I have just started using an elliptical and was wondering what a good time for running a mile would be, does anyone know? How long does everyone w/o on their machine? Just trying to get a feel for how I should be doing. Thanks.
  9. I have only been to two retreats before so I may not be much help. There has always been a learning 'class' while we are there. Some subject the organizer came up with to talk about to help us scrapbook better or get different ideas. The one retreat I was at had a BYOB the first night and you brought something you wanted to drink and a snack to share. It was a kind of get to know everyone night and it was kind of fun. It let you get to know everyone so it wasn't hard to talk to them later in the weekend...not that women usually have a hard time with that! lol. Hope that helps. Good luch with the retreat! Remember most people are just happy to get out of their house for the weekend and have a place to scrapbook, I am sure it will be fine!

  11. I would try walking slower than normal and for a shorter time then you normally do. If it hurts, stop! I hurt my back a year ago and I know what kind of pain can result from that. Take care.

I started WW in March/06 and have been riding my bike 5 times a week for 30-45min a session. 4 weeks ago I started weight training 3 times a week for 45-60 minutes a session, that includes warm up and cool down. These last 4 weeks I have gained weight, is this normal? I am getting very frustrated with this since I was typically losing over 1# a week before I started to weight train. I know weight training is good for you and it builds muscle that burns more fat but when will I start to see the scale go down? I know I am stronger then when I started but my clothes and appearance seems to be the same. Thanks to all those who can help.
  14. I have also read (don't know if it is true) that the weight gain that comes with the pill is because people tend to feel hungry more often and so they tend to eat more. I think if you stay OP you should be fine. Good luck.

I have been riding my bike for 45min 5 times a week for months. 3 weeks ago I started 45-60 min of weight training 3 times a week and I have been exhausted for the last 3 weeks, this week seems to be better. Did this happen to anyone else? It seems odd to me that this would be from weight training, but I haven't changed anything else. Any ideas?
